Jeep chat (Brandi) just told me their “system” showed I have been in D status for 19 days. According to my dealer I went into D status on 5/16. She couldn’t explain the discrepancy but told me they can’t expedite my case until I’ve been in D status for 30 days in their system. I wonder what is going on?? Anyone else have this issue?

PS...don’t you get your vin when you go into D status? Got my vin on 5/16.
I swear this happened to me as well. I got my VIN on 5-17 and started checking in on it every friday and was told i was in D status. then on the 7th of this month i asked them how long i had been in D status they told me 6 days and ended the chat, even though i was told 7 and 14 days prior that i was in D status.

They couldn't explain why to me either. now im just waiting till I hit 30 days in their system so i can have it escalated.

This should be interesting. With a few exceptions, we ordered the same Gladiator around the same date. You added a few things like Alpine upgrade, aux and headliners, but other than that, we’re the same.

it is crazy. your are the only other person i have heard of getting D status reset. I thought i was the only one. and i cant believe it is taking them this long to build our Gladiators. only thing i can think of is maybe they are doing them in batches based off their shipping destinations. I have no info backing up that claim just a theory because there seem to be no rhyme or reason to the build order.

37 days in D status now. Was just told by Randy in Jeep chat that there are part delays for Sport Trims, yet I continue to see Sports being shipped or in shipping status that were ordered weeks after mine with the exact same options minus one item. He said he could not escalate it as there is a "part shortage."

Then Randy closed the chat.

What the fuck. @JeepCares , is this for real?

I’m beginning to think the Jeep chat is worthless. They seem to make up days in a certain status, then say it’s a parts availability problem. I’m not buying it. If they’d just tell me the truth, I’d be happy. If they told me the spray in bed liner (or whatever) is holding things up, then I can live with that. Just quit with the bs’ing. @JeepCares whats going on?

Right! I dont care what the issue is it's just nice knowing what's going on. As it stands it makes you want to check everyday. I typically hold off for only once or twice a week but I check the tracker here daily.

It does suck we can’t get a straight answer on with what is going on. And for that reason I’m moving on. I can’t do business with a company that can’t/will not communicate with its customers. I don’t blame Jeep Cares. They can’t tell us what FCA doesn’t tell them and apparently FCA is not saying a thing.

Well today was different!!! Not really but the way they gave me the information was different.

ETA N/A Status: Scheduling phase (D) 32 days in
Order is in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process.
• The parts required to build the vehicle are being scheduled and as soon as they available and ready, order will be scheduled for build.
• Most orders are scheduled for build within 30 days after reaching this stage.
I do understand you have reached 32 days in this status although we do need to wait 45 days until escalation

41 days in D now and I finally got the first bit of real (I hope) info from Jeep chat this morning. I was on with them for a much longer time than usual. They stated that vehicles with the factory steel front bumper will begin production "late June/early July." This seems to verify that the delay has, in fact, been caused by the steel front bumper. I mentioned nothing about the steel bumper in chat. It's aggravating that orders placed a few days to several weeks later when they were not allowed to order restricted items are sailing through the production process...while those of us who ordered in the first day or two have not been allowed to remove those restricted items (which were not yet restricted when our orders were placed) from our orders so our vehicles will be built. If I take delivery on the vehicle by the end of July, it will be about 14 weeks from order date. I'm ok with that.

I got the same response about an hour ago from when I "escalated" and had them look into why I was in "D" status so long. At least it's something...

I didn't order the steel bumper and I still got boned so I'm betting several different options are experiencing an inventory shortage.

Congrats, @DanOnTheCob !

I asked @JeepCares to look into the delay on my build. No word back yet.

Dealership knows nothing.
