Just throwing it out there that there must be a way to order it direct from the factory without red dash but not with brown seats. This summer while I was eyeing gladiators at one dealer they showed me a max outfitted Rubi that had just arrived for a customer. First thing I saw was the gray dash. Had to step back out the vehicle and verify that was a Rubi and not the salesman mistakenly show me an Overland. Had black leather (honestly don’t recall the stitching as the red doesn’t bother me so I didn’t look at it). The dash caught my eye because at that time I hated the red dash. Now, which my white gladiator, I like it.

I’m going with a hydro blue Rubi and don’t want the red anywhere! Like tow hooks, the rubicon sticker, the trail rated badge, the dash, and so on. One that that really gets me is the stitching on the seats! Has to be a way around it from the factory? Ok thanks you saved me a new post on the subject!

I am a red dash convert. I was not a fan after seeing it in photos and debated ordering the tan to get around it but didn't like the look of the Sting Grey and tan. So i went with the black interior and the red dash and must say its much more muted in person. I like it.

What was the exterior color of the JTR?

Another option is the launch edition, which has the black leather dash with black leather seats.
Which is the route I went because I didn't like the Red dash (we all have our dislikes). I personally love the black leather much more than the metal dash panel.

However..not a huge fan of black wheels with black tires.... so I think some Borah's are on my list now.

Exact scenario for me. I was convinced that I would NOT like the red dash for my Sting Gray. Picked mine up today and the matte finish is actually nice. It’s a nice break up in color.

This is ultra surprising for a guy like me. My cars are typically made up from a lot of conservative color choices. Granted I’ve got only about 50 miles behind the wheel, but as of now I’ll say that I like the red dash.

I would like to have the option to add my own accents. Hard to do when they have red, red freaking red everywhere. Anyone hear if they are going to change that strategy?

FCA loves red! too effin' much, IMO

also, the all black interior. Today for grins I went to configure a V8 Grand Cherokee without all black. Had to go all the way to an Overland with Off-Road II pkg, $58K to do it. FCA hasn't progressed much since the Henry Ford days it seems.

"you'll take all this red and all-black interiors and like it, bitches" hahahahahah...

The bright red panels is the reason I get the launch edition, in SoCal, that is too bright under the sun

My Hydro Rubi came with the grey dash panels, along with grey badging on the exterior. I really liked it all until I ended up putting bronze wheels on it. Now the the grey bugs me so I have ordered matte bronze vinyl overlays for all the exterior badging and am thinking of painting the dash panels hydro. Also am going to have to paint the grey accents around grill slots and headlights. All worth it though, LOVE the bronze wheels on the hydro body!

I like the red, or at least it doesn't bother me in any way. I conceded on a granite crystal exterior since it was in stock and otherwise exactly what I wanted, and while it's a very good gray I hate being a part of the monochrome commonality. I would have bought it in punk'n, hydro blue, or firecracker if it had been on the lot and if it was even available I would have ordered the JL mojito or teal or purple or yellow.

But the red stitching and dash I'm good with. I've spent almost 10 year driving mazdaspeed3s that have red stitched interiors so it actually matches my car

When I get the time and money the red is going. I wanted seat covers anyways so that will take care of the seats. Really could care less for the Rubicon Stickers.

I plan to repaint the dash, but am so afraid of messing it up it hasn't happened yet.... Maybe I should just try to do a trade?

Front bumper was already replaced getting rid of those tow hooks.

I think I would just leave the rear alone though.

I have gator and the red just doesn't look right at times.
