It seems as others have mentioned that the wrangler has become a status icon commuter vehicle more often than a dedicated adventure rig. Those people just dont share the enthusiasm.

I won't wave. I am an asshole. I like Jeeps but don't like people. Just put your sheep mask on and get over it! I am not a follower.
I wouldn't say people who enjoy comradery and association in a community of like minded individuals are sheep. Seems like a comment that matches your self proclaimed title. 🙄

Wave if you want, don't if you don't 🤷‍♂️ no need to be offended one way or the other.

I didn't know what the wave was until I got the JT. I was wondering what was going on and now I feel bad about not returning the recognition. But now I am in make-up mode and offer it when I can, and always return it!

I've been getting about a 30% wave rate so far here in Oregon.

This is my first Jeep. I received my first wave on my way out of the dealer parking lot when I picked it up. I wave all the time but, I'm not perfect.

I think it’s more about demographics and population.
The more rural = more waves.
City traffic, multi lanes with turning lanes, school zones, liquor stores in multi lanes with turning lanes, and cell phones = less waves.
I wave (and only go to liquor store for medicinal purposes)🤐

I don’t wave at Mojave’s, not trail rated.

Sans sunshade, have had Angus nekked since June. Always get a ton of waves. The moral of the story is give Jeepers what they really want -- a nekked ass jeep...

I try to wave as much as possible, but its about 50% for a wave back.

My question is, how far away is too far for a wave? And actually my wife asked me this recently, so now I am curious. Like on a four lane divided highway and we are both in the right hand lane... is that too far to wave? I still wave...

Is it because "gladiator" or is it not a thing anymore?
I've waved at a ton of people and they just /ignore.
Even the lifted guys.
What gives?
Probably has to do with the newer generation's, where it's all about them and nothing else counts, no sense of belonging, just a sense of self. I also find bigger cities to be more this way as well, people just keep to themselves. Every so often I'll get a wave and I try to wave first when I can.
