So leaving as is will still beep and turn off because its looking for a signal?

If so, mine is a Sport S and no signal will be sent. Should I change it to stand alone mode when I install the lockers?

Mine is a Willys which is trimmed out sport so yes I would put it in stand alone mode. Unless you just want the safety factor of needing conditions to be met in order to activate the lockers, ie being in 4 lo and the sensors working. Honestly I've not tried it the other way (beeping) so maybe it will work either way. Stand alone is just simple push button-on, push button-off.

Another way to explain it is in what we're calling standbalone mode, they function the same as the rest of the switches in the switch banks. If you turn them on, theyre on and energize the switch whether they're connected to anything or not. Just like a normal switch. The other mode is set up more like an oem rubicon where certain conditions must be met in oder for the switches to energize.

JTenn is right. The locker switches will beep letting you know that you HAVE to be in 4 low for them to operate, and the rear has to be activated to be able to turn on the front. (Test this out in your drive way, push rear locker button in 2 hi, hear beep, shift into 4low, lock rear locker without beep) This is due to the one wire that you connected being the glove box. You can disable this feature by holding the front locker switch down while you turn on the vehicle (for about 5 seconds). By doing this you can run the lockers anytime, any configuration to include by accident going 75 on the highway. When I'm going to b be wheeling all day i switch to standalone mode so i can control when lockers activate. I put the switches back in regular mode so i don't engage my locker fumbling around with a cab of snuff or snacks in my way home from the trail.
