So day before yesterday I was coming off my work site and my TPMS light came on
Then it started blinking.
I got out checked tires all 4 tires were inflated to 34 pounds .
Got back in looked in the dash and TPMS screen showed the same 34 pounds . So I opened the flashcal+ app looked .. no codes.
So I drove home . Did my reports and went back out at dark rechecked the tires now all reading 32#'s as they had cooled off some. Messed with flash cal several times trying to turn off the TPMS wouldnt shut off. ( which I had it shut off at one time 6 months back.
Well ,I had the screen up and decided to start it . I seen some kinda code think for EGR . I am thinking this is weird sorta kinda cause no check engine light but it literally says it normally will not make the engine warning light illuminate. Well I shut it off try again and Bam! Hit clear codes and TPMS light goes out .
Got reading and says sometimes there are several thing this can be . Can be a faulty TPMS module or it can be from passing by other things that interfere with the signal.
So yesterday morning start back off to work get halfway there light comes back on and blinks. So I say heck with it ,work rest of the day and start on the way home.
I dont get but 5 miles from site get behind a car doing 30 in a 55 I want to get the heck outta dodge so about a mile later a straightaway with passing zone comes up.
We'll you know what happened next from 5th to the floor dropped to 3rd pedal to the floor RPMS I glanced at 5800 or 6000 and rising and partially due to the fact that when I looked at the oncoming traffic in the opposing lane the lead car was a Policeman .
So I think that may have prompted me to get by even faster and my foot to stay heavy ( small panic mode)
I glance at speed as I am just now around the car and back in my lane and I see 67mph. As soon as I came off that throttle the TPMS light went out. I drove rest of the way home about 60 miles and the whole way back today and all over the site and the light has not reappeared..
Anyone care to offer up a idea on that one ??

You could try unplugging it, and clean it with some electrical contact cleaner, then add some dielectric grease? I believe this would be the plug area:

Not sure if this will work for you, but sometimes the simplest things can fix the most irritating glitches. Good luck!

I’ve had that happen. And it did change when the sensor changed temps, meaning warmer tires. It was one of the sensors starting for fail, at least it was with mine. If you have a sensor in your spare, you could rotate it in to see if the problem goes away when one of the active tires is taken out of service.

What is your build date? On or prior to June 7th 2021, you will have a separate TPMS module. After, it would be incorporated into the Radio Frequency Hub.

If it helps, mine is before that build date, and one bad sensor caused it.

@Hootbro I remember when I ordered the tires rim and sensors I was ask about the build date . They been working find ever since then , and after my little speeding escapade it is functioning properly .. šŸ˜‚
I got to say that 3.6VVL has taken the utter abuse from me . I can't even see how my plugs could be grungy . I run the digsh*t out of this thing

Well wonder if the TPMS module is cheaper than the RF hub?
I got to look up and see where the darn thing even is located

Yours and mine must be built about the same time. Cause both are 21's yet before that build date

If it hadn’t recurred, I’d leave it for now. Mine started out blinking with no other indicator. Then the blinking started accompanying no reading on the right front wheel sensor. I replaced that sensor and it’s all good. Technically shortly after I replaced my factory wheels. At that point with like 40k on the sensors, I put five new ones in the new wheels. I haven’t had a hiccup since.
