Now that we have pricing, are you still onboard?

I can't say that I am still on board with Gladiator now that the pricing is out. I went on and priced out a fairly well-equipped Rubicon Gladiator and it came out to be $55k and change. The I did a Ram Rebel with 4-corner air suspension (which I have now on my '15 Ram Laramie and I love it); e-assist hemi; sun roof; navigation (8 inch screen - not the 12); quad cab (which I also have now on my Laramie and I have easily accommodated 5 adults) so it has a longer and wider bed and the Rebel was also just over $55k. The Rebel will have a lot more torque and overall power and I understand the Rubicon and the off-road capability but the Rebel also has some pretty good off-road credibility of its own.

So until such time that Jeep decides to build and extended cab with a more capable bed instead of 60 inch "lifestyle" (worthless) bed - I would go with the alternate FCA product and get a Rebel....

True you get nicer stuff in the Ram but most trails are made for JK/JL and smaller vehicles., JT may have a hard time in some spots but a RAM will never get there

Not getting cargo management, just don't see the value. Not getting steel front bumper because you have to add LED lighting. Will buy bumper after purchase.

It's about what I expected. I'm torn, it's in the same price range as a used 2017+ raptor... After the cost of performance mods to the Jeep gladiator, I'll be well over the cost of the raptor.

I'd already have a raptor if it weren't for having to look at the Ford logo every day... I may just hold out for the TRX if it ever makes it to market.

This is is my dilemma, but I look at the Jeep logo every day and have been for the past 6 years.

I'm 95% sure I'm out. I really though the Gladiator would be the first time I bought the same Brand vehicles back to back, but with the price of the build I want at $57,495.00 without the diesel and the diesel probably adding $5K for a total of $62,495.00 even after discounts at 7% below invoice I'm looking at around $55K + tax & lic. By comparison I can get a 1-2 year old Ford Raptor with under 30K miles that already took the big depreciation hit for similar money and thats on a 802A package (MSRP of around $65-68K).

My drive partner and I eventually made our way to some twisty roads in the hills, and in those conditions, the JT reminded me of its Wrangler sibling. The truck felt tall and loose in the turns, and the steering was about as vague and slow to respond as you’d expect from a tall off-roader with solid axles, soft springs, and an old-school steering box.

While it sounds like its better in a straight line. I venture into the mountains a lot as well as a ton of two lane road between Idaho/Montana/Oregon and I just need something that when I get to my destination I'm not worn out by my vehicle.

I wont buy anything till next year, so I may go test drive one once they are on the lots, but everything is telling me no.

I'm still in for a year or more from now. Kid is due in a few months, so that pushes purchase date back. Price seems reasonable to me for what you get, and I don't want to deal with a full size truck every day. Will either be looking at a lightly optioned Sport S, or a used Rubicon depending on if people are trading theirs in for the diesel.

I'm out.
Since I am not going to be a serious off-roader it makes more sense to get a Ram 1500,
with V8 power, bigger box and more Cush all around. I have 2 Jeeps in the garage now and thought this would be the pick up for me, but it's not.

There it is! Extended cab goodness. Hopefully they come out with a 85" bed option for a full sheet of plywood to fit with gate closed!

I have a full size truck now. I don't want or need a full size anymore. I was waiting for the JT to make my midsize selection and it's the clear winner for me.
