Oil Filter Cap Question

I ordered a doorman replacement. Will install it when I get back from hunting trip.

So get this… I go to replace the filter cover this morning…. And the filter is stuck to the assembly. I can feel the spring working and it looks exactly the same as the doorman replacement. I think I’ll leave OEM for now I guess??? Other than not shoving on as hard as screwing it down made it (I definitely did not over tighten), I don’t know what I did. Oh well. Glad all is good (I think).

Maybe it was the angle of your dangle?

I know sometimes it can take a bit of force to make it snap in.
