I love my truck. Bought it straight off the lot so I had to take whatever packages it offered, but it is an Overland, so it was pretty much setup with all the comfort options. BUT, the one option I thought I would NEVER care about, or use, is the Bluetooth Speaker. Then I used it once., and haven’t looked back HOW COOL IS THAT???!! I have used the hell out of that thing. So, it’s good to know that after 65 years, I can still be surprised by something good. Just sayin’...

I never had a bluetooth speaker until about 4 years ago... Best investment EVER! I've used the hell out of that thing! How did I ever live without one?

I wonder if you can buy the Jeep Gladiator one, and add it... I was hoping my JTR would have had that option, but it did not. I'd like to add one to it, if possible.

I purchase another blue tooth Jeep speaker from Mopar just to have stero. I am listening to it now while at home like a responsible, considerate and compassionate human, with a long island ice tea.

I know! I have used other Bluetooth speakers in the past, bathroom, bedroom, etc. But I am really impressed with the quality of sound and the convenience of having this in the truck, recharging, ready when I want to use it. So, after 4 beers and a shot of Johnny Walker Black, my hat is off to the engineer at FCA who thought this would be a good idea. I guess my only gripe is why not create coding for connectivity with Uconnect.

There is no less then a dozen or so different bluetooth speakers running around my house ranging from 20 dollar Amazon Specials to 2 UE Megabooms (they link together for stero sound) and honestly I never use any of them. My daughter uses them often, but I keep winning them at work so we keep adding to the collection.

Hey, thanks for that post about the UE Megabooms. I had never heard of those. I still plug my IPhone into a 1996 Panasonic Platinum Boombox which is still kickin’ and has great sound, but is pretty heavy to cart around. I may look at these to move up to.

There are a ton of good options out there. I got my Megabooms back when they were running about 300 each (I won both of mine at work so I didnt pay that for them). They now look to be sub 100 bucks which is a fantastic price for them. They are kinda big & bulky though.

Looking at options even as we speak. I am an old, sitting on the deck with thumping bass and scaring the deer away kind of guy. I appreciate the suggestions, never thought that this thread might lead to ideas to improve summertime drinkin’ and listening’, but I really appreciate the input because it has now started me thinking of how I can get louder but with good sound. Especially using BT.

Does anybody know if you can buy the speaker, the charging cradle, cradle harness, and if you have the 9-speaker Alpine system, does it already have the wiring harness connectors waiting to be clicked together with the charging cradle for the Alpine bluetooth speaker?

Anybody got all the Mopar part numbers needed to add this to my JTR?

Wait... you don't have the charging cradle in the back of your Gladiator? I never thought about that. Does that mean you have some small storage ability to the left of the sub if you have the upgraded audio? I can't do much of anything as far as space is concerned behind the back right and center seats due to the speaker and sub. Wouldn't trade my upgraded audio for the space though. I will have to try to my BT speaker, which I wrote off as a waste.

Yes, there is a small plastic tray where the BT speaker would sit. But I don't think there's a charging cradle for it, unless it's there, and it charges wirelessly like the new iPhones do??? If so, I might just only have to buy the speaker, and the rest of the stereo and wiring is already pre-installed and ready. Anybody got any ideas? Any info would be SUPER helpful, becuase I can find the speaker online, but can't find part numbers for the harness, charging cradle, etc...

I was looking for a sound system for my old boat last year and had trouble finding a system reasonably priced that had good sound and didn't cost more than the old boat was worth - lol. My son and I got the idea while perusing BestBuy to purchase a nice bluetooth Boombox and mount it under the passthru on the runabout. We got the JBL Boombox, Waterproof Portable Bluetooth speaker. It fit perfect in that location, sounded awesome, and we take it out during winter and use it all over the house, garage and take it on trips. We love it! So glad I didn't spend a bunch of money on a dedicated boat stereo that goes to waste most of the year.

Here's a link if anybody is interested in seeing the one we used.
