Ouray Day 4

Sadly this was the last day. We started out with Yankee Boy Basin then did Corkscrew Pass, Hurricane Pass, Poughkeepsie Gultch and out through Mineral Creek and a short drive down to Ouray. The last photo is me enjoying a Hazy IPA at Cahoots Tavern to end the day. What a fantastic trip. If you have not been to Ouray yet add it to your list and earn a few badges!

One of my absolute favorite towns. And less busy than telluride. But I like both. I need to go back. Thanks for sharing.

I hit a that 25° twice this trip. It was getting a bit steep... enough for me to look up at what degree you might roll. When its happening you don't think about it you just drive. It is only later that it hit you.

Great trip report and pictures.
I ranked that area as top three in the country. A truly beautiful experience. We did it a couple of years ago when the aspens were starting to turn colors in the lower elevation. It just blew us away!

You actually get used to it after a couple days on the trails in CO. It's pretty common to be off camber on a shelf road, leaning over a cliff.

You come out of it with a lot more confidence and a much better understanding of your vehicle's capabilities.

It's a great place to test the limits because, while scary your first time, the trails are actually pretty safe as long as you pay attention and stay on the track. You can do most of the trails in the area in any stock Jeep or 4x4.

Beautiful photos. I really would love to go to the Alpine Loop. It's tough being self employed, I can't really go anywhere for any length of time except in the winter, when it's closed.
