If the family is with me it's the RV. Wife won't sleep in anything without hard walls and has a bathroom

For when I get to go wheeling on my own, I'm building an expedition trailer that will have a RTT. Here's where I am at the moment: The frame is built from a '74 Chevy LUV. Box building to commence this weekend.

I started backpacking 3-5 days trips when I was in HS and continued into my 50s, doing sections of the AT. I enjoy a cabin or hotel too, of course, and car camped a lot when kids were little. Now, my partner is a city girl, and she wants a floor and walls. I’m happy to have her spend time in the woods with me, so we’re looking at an RV, going forward.
