The dealer just replaced a sensor on my Ecodiesel exhaust due to codes, they test drove and it didn’t throw a code. I’ve had it for several days and it just threw a P2002 code, which is apparently clogged or malfunctioned DPF. Does anyone have experience with this? Ideas on treating it without going to dealer?

I guess it’s actually just saying that the readings on either side of the DPF are different, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s clogged. There’s several thins it could be

It’s a 2021 Gladiator Eco with 49k miles.

Get a banks idash and run a regen. If you SL % doesnt go down it could be a bad dpf. Also you can check exhaust PSI and see if its ridiculously high or not. This is pressure in the exhaust. Not sure how it calculated this but it does go down.

Jscan app also allows a forced regen and any professional scanner tool that is current on updates should also be able to force a regen.

If you can't do that then hit the highway and keep the rpms up to around 2500 for a about a 1/2 hour.

Do you need bypass cable in on the Jscan to force a regen? I have Jscan.

I've been to the dealer 3 times for this exact same code. So far they have forced a regen(p2002), changed an O2 sensor (p026d), and the particulate matter sensor(p2002). p2002 keeps coming back after long drives (1.5 hr +); I suspect a faulty DPF. Prior to the dealer visits, I had tried to force regen with the bypass cable + alfaobd, but without any luck. I will be opening a case with Jeep soon and send it to another dealer; it sucks being unable to enjoy the jeep because of this reoccuring downtime. Good luck!

Anything that Jscan does bidirectional control, you are going to need the bypass cable. So yes, you will need one.

Did you drive it much with the live P2002 code? I’m trying to determine if it's harmful to drive with the live code, I guess that would depend on exactly what caused the code.

Lol, I've been driving with this code for months. I noticed that the exhaust tip is quite black on the inside, so other than maybe dirtier egr gases I dont think it's a problem.

Banks iDash can initiate a regen? That's cool.
