Any fabricators out there?
Looking for a way to haul my wife's paddleboard and my surfboards without pulling the back panel on the soft top and passing them through. I used to have this type or rack on several of my pickups growing up and wondered if anyone has or has seen something like this that addressed the wheel well obstruction in the front of the bed, as Thats where the forward rack would be mounted. I might have to contract a fabricator to make something. The best part about these racks in my opinion is that they won't interfere with the soft top and you can take them down very easily below the bed rail when not needed for a clean look.
What are you guys doing to carry paddleboards? My wife's is 12', my shorter surfboards are no problem in the bed but my longboards range from 9' to 10' and hanging that much out the back makes me nervous. Maybe it is what it is but there has to be a better way.
I've considered an over the cab rack but can't seem to find one for the JT that pivots allowing use of the soft top.
Any and all ideas welcome.
