Page 168/169 of the 2025 owners manual talks about the door lock settings in Uconnect. Passive Entry seems to only have a on/off selection and you have to adjust the fob settings for whether the drivers door unlocks only or all doors.

Yes, it's in the "radio" settings.
The passenger door always unlocks all, but the driver door can be set for only that door, or all doors. It's a safety thing. My wife wants the driver door to unlock only that door so no one can hop in on the other side when she's out alone shopping. Some places you really have to watch that - people lurk and wait for you to unlock your vehicle and run over and hop in on the passenger side if all doors unlock. It's happened right here in the Des Moines area.

All CSM Settings Menu booleans are stored in the BCM. Just need to find the right one, and flip it on to show up on the radio, there are a lot of unused CSM Menus in the BCM and not all of them are well named.

I believe this will be

JSCAN -> Modules -> Body Controller -> Configuration -> Passive entry customer settings menu -> Set

Reboot Radio twice for it to refresh menu options pulled from the BCM

Generically - Passive entry CSM > yes/ active

From my notes I took when adding it to my 2020 years ago.
I simply waited 24 hours and a couple of drive cycles and it simply showed up the next day in the menu after making that setting change. (I wasn't in a hurry so didn't mess with a reboot of anything)

You would be correct for for actually turning on the system, but UConnect 5 works off boolean flags to figure out what customer settings menus (CSMs) need to be shown and are a different flag than just telling the BCM that the feature exists.

If you were to enable sales code by the dealer the CSM and Feature Booleans (Boolean = True / False Flag set at the start of the code) would both be set to true on the reflash, but since your editing them effectively line by line you got to enable both, at least with Uconnect 5. Same thing with adding remote start.

I will be perfectly honest this is more or less computer databasing and is very similar to the way configuration files work in switches.

I want to do the dealer remote start for next winter. These settings will probably be erased . I'll have to reprogram after having the dealer remote start .

That line actually put it in the CSM, in the menu. Without it, it didn't show up in the menu on the radio. It told it the menu item was true or active.

This is what I went by - and it worked fine without the last line, but it wasn't configurable in the menu.

AP1 Left front > smart switch

AP2 right front > smart switch

Passive entry present > yes/ active

Passive entry CSM > yes/ active

It will work if just this entry is present - but it won't show up in the menu (taken from my own BCM) without the CSM setting.

Premium TPM System Present: Yes
Paddle Shift Feature Present: No
Sport Mode Present: No
Auto Park Present: Yes
Passive Entry Present: Yes
Keyless Go Present: Yes

Here's another reference to that same setting (I did this back on 2020 or 2021, can't recall now, and it was an older thread than this one for sure)

Yup did all that .
You know what, I only want the Driver door to unlock anyway when driver door handle is touched .

My stereo sounds so low quality. Need to update speakers but don't want to spend a lot. Need to start researching that .

Some will say even the Alpine premium system in these sounds low quality - compared to the massive system I had in my Comanche - and it was 100% Alpine, I participated in auto stereo contests back then, the JT system does sound low quality, have to admit.

Hi Mike,
Yes PM sent

Thanks
- Benny
Hi Benny,

Could you please confirm pins 15 & 16 for me? I think they're present.

Jeep Gladiator Passive Entry / Proximity Keyless Door Entry Install - Success!!! 21792

Also I got excited and already ordered the kit. Is it too late to ask for a forum memeber discount? Thank you very much for all your help in this community!

For everyone as a whole, I plan on doing this with a tazer mini. If the pins are there, and I install the handles and harness', is it then as simple as navigating the tazer menu to enable this setting and requires no dealer intervention? Thank you all very much!

You have pins 15 and 16.
Is it a 2024 or newer ? Seems like all the 24s + are wired for them .
I used jscan to program . It was pretty simple.

Thank you very much for confirming! It's a 2023 Sport S Package. Mainly I was going to use the tazer because I've read about all the other things you can do with it. Does the jscan offer the same modification options?

Hi David,
Assuming the photo is not inverted you have the required circuits. I am sorry but we cannot apply discounts to past orders. In the future DM me directly for any other parts needs.

Thanks,
- Benny
