You should have seen me when seat belts first became law here decades ago. I'd get on my motorcycle and reach down............ uh, no.........
For a long time after trading trucks I was still reaching to put a key into an ignition lock.
I can't tell how many times my right hand went up for a shift lever that wasn't there.
I try to push the clutch pedal on my Javelin after driving the SX4 for a while. There isn't one on the Javelin.
I still try to reach for shifter and try to push in clutch in my JT. Then when driving my LJ, I have to remember the key and few other things. The windshield wipers was one a day ago. :giggle:

A few years ago, my wife and I were out in her Charger. I was driving a manual transmission Mustang as my daily driver at the time. We went where we needed to go, did what we needed to, and came out and got in the Charger. After about a minute or so, she asked why we were sitting there. I said "I'm trying to figure out how to start this car, I can't find the clutch". Muscle memory was so strong that I HAD to step on the clutch first.

This thread is winding down. Nothing here lately except old guys talking about being old. We need to change the subject before they start comparing bowel movements. :) Here is one thing that needs to be discussed. Our lead expert on presentation made a spelling/typing error (patron instead of patronize). Does this discredit the entirety of his post?

Happily! Photos attached.

You should expect quality both in presentation and function from the places you patron.

Good catch! That is an error, and not an intentional one either! Great work internalizing the lesson, as you’ve gone from not catching/glossing over errors to catching them AND thinking critically about what those errors might mean for the validity of their source.

*closes book*

Class dismissed. ?

I left an error in my last note so you could make a clever retort. You missed it. I've fixed it. :)

Out riding today without a worry in the world. Chicks dig guys who are carefree.

It's not hard. We've talked about this.

I have a guy working here to build a new - safer - stairway to my garage loft. I showed him the pictures on my phone and told him what you said after I posted a pic of them here (I think you said you have recipes and they are delicious) and his response was "oh, yeah, for sure! Slow cooker and the meat falls right off the bone" and then said "I wonder if your neighbor will let my hunt on his land" (meaning the farm ground behind me)
Heck, sit in my house looking out the window - enjoy coffee, whatever, and when they come by - that's it.

It's a bit fuzzy or not clear because I used digital zoom on the phone to take a fast few shots.

Anyway, I need to get Andy's address - the guy is just having way too much fun down there.

We see them every day.
This evening while we were eating dinner, 12 deer walked by dining room windows, on their way to the crimson clover plots I have planted for them, and because they're pretty in Spring.

I have been developing habitat for 11 years for wildlife here, essentially surrounding the house with food, cover, and water.
I don't think I've been a single day here without seeing some form of game or other wildlife, and I do selectively harvest from time to time.

I love the work and I love the rewards.
I believe the satellite picked up some waterfowl that day too.

Back to the batteries...i know the aux batt wont drive a winch, pretty much a no brainer. What i was wondering was if a larger battery could fit in the space of that little motorcycle batt. Fab a tray that will take the larger size, put it where the baby batt used to be. i have not torn into to look it over, wanted opinions before i go that direction. Add an invertor, around 1000w to send power to the bed. Use the main batt for starting, switched accesories, and such.

The Genesis system makes tons more sense than that.

Yeah, you aren't going to pack a very useful battery in that area.

If not the system Lunentucker mentions - I think it was Mr._Bill that added a battery back along the side of the bed - between inner bed wall and outer bed fender. It's a good way to have power close to the rear where you need it. You'd only run cables to that area to charge that battery and you could use something like the Redarc control system for charging it. It's easier to access, would take a larger battery, and wiring to an inverter would be SHORT if in the bed of the truck.
