Hi there. Question for everyone. I bought a 2024 Gladiator Rubicon last fall. Noticed that my power steering reservoir is low, well below the minimum line. I haven't noticed any issues with the power steering but I want to keep it between the min/max lines.

I went and bought Mopar part #68088485AB. However, before I put it in my Jeep I noticed that the fitment on Mopar's website lists that it fits model years up to 2022 but not 2023-2025. I can't find any power steering fluid on their website for model years 2023 or 2024. I contacted Mopar but all they could do was confirm that it was only for model years up to 2022 and told me to contact my local service center.

Well I have contacted 4 of my local Jeep dealership's service centers and none of them are returning my voicemails. Is there any chance that someone here knows what fluid I should use in the power steering reservoir?

@JeepCares

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't have the shop manual for the 2023-24. If you search mopar parts online with your year JT, and type power steering fluid in the search, you will see automatic transmission fluid. In the notes it says used as power steering fluid. I would definitely check this out as you may not wa t to mix the fluids. Does the owners manual call out the spec for PS fluid?

I could not find it anywhere in my owner's manual. That was my biggest concern, I didn't want to mix fluids.

The 2024 manual page 294? Says electric power steering fluid. It does not give a spec number.

If it's green, it is most likely the fluid you have. It is weird that the online part catalog does not show it.

I bought a pint from my dealer for a top up a week ago. The part number they sold me is 68088485AB. That's for my 2023 Gladiator.

Yes, that is where my search began. I just don't want to put fluid in that doesn't match what is currently in there, so I want to know what exact part# was used at the factory.

That is helpful to know that is still what the dealers are using. It is odd that Mopar's fitment cuts it off at 2022.

That is correct, The current service part number is 68088485AB

Sorry for any confusion,
- Benny
Appreciate your help, that is the fluid I bought. I am just confused because it indicates fitment up to 2022 but not 2023, 2024 or 2025 and a mopar rep confirmed that it stops at model year 2022.

I'm dealing with a similar situation myself. I bought a new 2025 mower with an EFI Kawasaki engine. I also bought a grass catcher kit for it. The book says the xxx grass catcher fits the entire xxx series. However, the main mounting bracket does not fit the frame even though the documentation says it is compatible with all xxx series mowers.

The design of the EFI motor required a new rear frame bracket. They forgot to update the 2025 brochures and parts list with this information. They thankfully have a grass catcher for the EFI xxx series, just nobody updated the system. They copied the work from the 2024 models and just change the year. 2024 did not have EFI xxx series mowers.

- The missing model years under VEHICLE FITMENT are simply an oversight
- MOPAR part number 68088485AB is the part number that supersedes 05154460AA specified in the internal dealer spec sheet

- The internal dealer spec sheet is used by Jeep service techs
- When I requested a pint of PSF from my local dealer using my VIN in September 2021, they sold me 68088485AB MOPAR Electric Steering Pump Fluid
- Specifications listed in my Key Info post are valid as of January 2025 (I verified each of them)

- My local dealer printed a copy of the internal dealer spec sheet for me in January 2025; this is one of the docs that I used to verify the info in my post; there were no changes to the doc since the print date of 5/14/2021
