The upper bushing pic you posted is normal for all Jeeps. The lower control arm skids have been known to prevent proper torque, so that may be your issue. The design of those reduces the pressure applied to the factory bracket/bushing. Secondary to that, I agree with another post that the track bar bolt torque should be checked.

If you’re hearing it when turning the steering wheel then it may be this TSB below. I just dropped mine off at the dealer last night for it. I’ll repost here when the verdict is in.

Mine does this, so I'm glad you posted it, but I wonder what the fix is. Even still, I wouldn't think it would be confused with the steering linkages or suspension popping. The steering column sound is more of a "click".

From my understanding they will HAVE TO replace the entire assembly causing the issue with an updated assembly revision/design. So repair won’t be an option for the dealer per FCA. Some Gladiators built pre-October 2020 I guess got defective parts.

My noise started as a whining sound that I could only hear in parking garages. It then got a faint click a couple hundred miles later. Now at 1500 miles, the click is a full on pop noise toward locking the steering wheel.
