I think that only a very vocal few thought it would be $7k-$10K over JLU. I rebuked them every chance I had. Perhaps the ones that are not happy are the ones that where in hopes of $2k or less.
We go round and round. 3K ish makes it the most expensive vehicle on page one of jeep.com . Wow I say!!! Really?!? That just doesn't make sense to me.

At what price are you out, and what would your backup plan be? Keeping the JK or going JL? Another make/model?
I would probably be out at more than $5k. The backup plan might be a JLUR, or maybe even a good used JKUR (2013+). I actually sold my JK a few months back to get my wife the 4Runner she wanted (2016 SR5 4WD Premium, with 3rd row). My turn!

I might have to start considering a JK or JL. Probably gotta hop over to the sister site and learn what to look for. I'm thinking it might not be a bad idea to own a jeep for a while as daily driver before owning a JT; however, it sounds like the JL rides much nicer than the JK, so I would want a JL; however, aren't those new for 2018? Probably can't find many used at good pricing.

I wouldn't want to buy an un-depreciated JL, then 2 years later sell it at a big loss and then buy a new JT.

Everywhere I keep reading 45k starting for the Rubicon JT. I honestly think this is a realistic figure...starting to sink in haha. Time will tell, but at that price I’m not sure anymore.

The good thing is that Wranglers hold their value as well as any vehicle, so you won’t lose much in depreciation.

That gives some hope that the hercules will be more in line with raptor, so then Rubiglator should be more reasonable.

Others think Rubiglator has to be high 50s.

In the short time I’ve been perusing this site, about the one thing I’ve learned for sure is that no one knows anything for sure when it comes to how these things will be priced.

It’s all speculation no matter how passionately or frequently some folks express their opinion on the matter. And boy oh boy do some folks express it... :whew:

Lol, yep that's discussion #1

For a while there was lots of talk about why they don't have a 2 door JT, some are still holding out.

I've just got cabin fever, wanna see a JT in person damnit.

Hahaha. 2 door... "cabin" fever. Don't know if that was intentional but I found it funny.
