Great thread and great info !
Thanks so much for the outstanding work. I am a rock crawler mostly looking for more droop in the rear. I have the 3.5" Clayton Overland Plus kit, Rock Jock antirock sway bar, 37" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT, and the Falcon SP2 3.3 shocks which extend to 32" total in the rear. I was dislodging my rear Clayton springs at full drop - Triple Rate, Free Length- 21.500" , Spring Rate 1 - 190 lbs in, Spring Rate 2 - 280 lbs in, Spring Rate 3 - 360 lbs in, so, I added a Teraflex spring clamp kit to the rear springs. I am looking for a new rear spring with a similar load rating and height as the Clayton spring, but, will give me that full 32" of droop that the Falcon shock allows. I do not care too much about up travel, just droop. Please, do you have any spring recommendations ? Thanks so much.

In order to get the full 32in you need a spring with a 26in free length, and at this point I have not seen any spring longer than 24in which is what drove me to develop the ones I plan to produce. Additionally, with my springs you can add a 3/4in spacer to help increase preload/ride height depending on truck weight and average cargo loads.

The rear springs I designed are slightly more stiff, on average than others, but because of how long they are and because you can actually use the full shock stroke, you end up with great flex for rock crawling.

Also, I'd recommend the rock krawler pro-x upgrade for better flex and articulation

Ok, thanks. I would like to try your rear springs and keep the Clayton front springs. Keep me in mind when they are available for sale.

Exciting update: final quote has been receved for 100 pairs of front and 100 pairs of rears, and I completed my initial payment to start prduction and order the material!

Spings will be ready to ship out nationwide in 10 weeks or less. There has been some challenges in the supply lines for the spring steel thats specific to my design, and 10 weeks is the worst case lead time.

I also plan to have my website up and operational for orders in about 4-5 weeks. If people are local to Long Beach CA you will be able to select pick up/local delivery (I'll personally deliver them)

Memorial Day Weekend - I will be out in Pioneertown/JTree/Giant Rock this friday and saturday so if anyone would like to check out my truck and see it perform PM me and I'll get you all the details and contact info. (you'll also get to see the 3D printed hardware I'm working on in the background!)

Pricing details are still being ironed out, and I'll be putting together a detailed comparison matrix of other springs to provide a clear way to see what led to this specific design.

Happy Hump DAAAYYYYYYY!

Good morning everyone, here's what to expect for pricing: Fronts - $280, Rears - $365.

here's the painful part - Tax - this will end up being 10.25%, this is because my business is in LA County (specifically Long Beach) and this is the tax rate for the area even for online and out of county/state sales.

Here's the unknown - shipping
I've been working with the spring manufacturer and will have a pallet of springs sent to somewhere close to me so I can make local deliveries and shipments which should keep shipping costs down at checkout. For those living in the Midwest I will likely ship those directy from the factory. I'm still trying to figure this all out and will know in less than 6 weeks.

Separately I am putting together a nice slide deck/pdf of the design approach and comparative analysis from other springs that I've tested and any available data on others that I have not tested to help provide a clear understand of what makes my springs differret and best option for maximizing wheel travel.

Cheers!

Website is nearing completion, I just need to provide some updated photos of how the truck sits and looks with the springs. GoDaddy has done a pretty nice job with the initial draft of the site, I have a call with them on Wednesday to go over my notes.

I have a call Monday with the spring manufacturer on how things are tracking for the first 50 sets ( I ordered 100 sets, and they batch them in qty's of 50).

I will be at the SoCal Jeeps N Java tag up in Big Bear on July 6th and will have shirts, hoodies, and hats for sale if anyone joins up.

Stay dusty!

So just asking for a friend you know, if someone was local could there be an option to pick up?

Also as a person with no socials can I get more info on this jeeps and java?

If people are local to Long Beach and reasonable distance to Long Beach I plan to make local deliveries where possible or arrange for pick up.

Jeeps n Java happens on the 1st Saturday of each month. There is a SoCal Gladiators group on FB and Instagram where they post the locations and times as it changes each month. I'll try to dig up the info and repost here

Here's the meetup and camping area for Saturday the 6th. I'm not sure what time things will get going, but I suspect people up and active by 8am

Good afternoon everyone, I had a follow up call with production this morning and right now I'm expecting to have 25 sets in my hands in Long Beach around August 8. This is longer than expected, and due to additional first batch quality checks the supplier is performing. They are also looking to see what they can do to pull in production by a week or so.

MY website should be ready in about 2-3 more weeks. I have another call with the developer on July 10th to finalize the most recent edits.

Ill be up in Big Bear this Friday through Saturday afternoon and will have some merch with me. Location is the link I posted above.

Cheers,
Mike

Quick update, webiste has launched, BUT, there are bugs with the shipping API and it seems to be possibly connected to the CloudStrike issue. Feel free to take a look in the meantime - https://fundamentalmotorsports.com/

I still need to complete the blog/write up on the NORRA 1000 and where we are with developing the 3.0 Integrated Bypass Shocks.

Right now I am trying to secure a 4,000 sq. ft. facility in LA that I can use for development and assembly operations (trying to launch the new shocks Q3 of 2025!), and working on an SBA 7 loan application.

I checked in with the springs and they are still tracing to be ready for delivery (LA/Orange County areas) and shipping around August 9th

Any details on the shocks you can share? Saw you mentioned 3D printing?

They will be true 3.0 sized (2.75in piston) and have at least 8 general bypass zones which will allow for easier tuning of the shim stack. I'm working on a new piston design that also allows for a smaller packaing while stil having 13-14in of shaft travel. The first set I tested paired perfectly with the springs I have in production. The next iterative designs will remove additional mass and incorperate even more simplified machining steps to drive down cost.
