While replacing both batteries in my 2020 a few days ago (A! light came on), I noticed that the power steering fluid was slightly below the minimum mark.

So today I stopped in my local dealer to buy a pint. $37.50 for a *^#&*' pint of power steering fluid:surprised:

Yeah that's expensive. This is what I bought a few months ago. Still expensive but a little better.

Is this the PN you purchased?

68088485AB FLUID, Power SteeringChrysler List Price: $28.70

If so the dealer had a different price than what my information shows.

Yeah, that's what I put in mine when I installed the Apex system.

Here are a couple of related threads. The first thread listed below initially convinced me not to use anything but MOPAR. However, after doing some more research, I have listed (the MOPAR option and) a couple of aftermarket options in section 1.7 of my post on links to prices of fluids & filters. For a comprehensive review of several power steering fluid options (also with links to prices), see my post on power steering fluid options.

Related threads:

As mentioned above, the MOPAR part number is 68088485AB. The MS-number can be MS.90030 or MS-11655. The manufacturer specification number MS-11655 is printed on the label of a container of fluid (MOPAR 68088485AB) that I purchased, in person, from a Jeep dealer in September 2021.

Top off power steering fluid when the engine is cold to a point halfway between the MIN line and the MAX line.

New year price hike? They were charging $50 for the air intake filter also.

That $28 on Amazon is current pricing. The dealer is just gouging people that don't know any better.
I'm seeing $37-$38 for Mopar OEM filters on Amazon. Still way much better than stealership prices.
Not going to cheap out buying aftermarket for this vehicle.

Stuff has gone up for sure. Paid like $16 for it about 4 years ago from a MOPAR selling dealer on Ebay.

There are multiple sites selling MOPAR parts; IE Moparparts.com... BTW .. this past DEC Extreme T had K&N Air Filters (50,000 mile washables) on sale for 14.99; I bought 2; easier now to replace 1 and wash dry re-oil the old one as needed.

Couple things.

First, prices on parts and equipment vary per dealer. Having 5 different Mopar vehicles, I'm used to having to call and get prices and various dealers and online. So, you should have called/shopped around.

Second, I had to pay $47 for power steering fluid for our Charger. Only reason is because I needed it right then. Only one dealer close had it and I couldn't wait to order online.

BLUF: Dealers (Like everyone else) are price gouging. Next time shop around.
