I get what you're saying.... the one time I think it's worthy is when it's a safety issue. That steering thread seems legit.
So, you gonna start a thread warning people about a potential steering issue?

Yup. I've seen that thread. So why did you have to start a new thread entitled, "Prospective buyers beware?!"

How's this, I'll start a thread letting people know about your thread warning prospective buyers about a subject already being discussed in another thread?

Very good idea. If temperature control is the forefront amenity, than a future owner may want to 1)wait until Jeep has a fix, or 2)test the system of the one on the lot.

ROFLMAO.............

Can I start a thread referencing yours just to be sure folks find it and are fore-warned?

I figured it out - Rise of the machines. Your avatar reminds me of the female terminator in the "I like your gun" scene.........

But seriously, the HVAC thing is likely something that will be addressed, isn't a show stopper and isn't safety related, and it's possible that it's not even a totally common thing - again, going back to how many own JTs who have no issues - but when we find an issue discussed in a forum it must be a huge percentage...
If there's a lot of folks talking about it in a specific forum it must be a big issue........ and yet, how many members are there here - and how many have the same HVAC issues? And figure the number of forum members is but a tiny fraction of the total JT owners/operators.

I had an 8.4 Uconnect screen in our JL Wrangler and we were having HVAC issues (too hot, too cold) that could never get fixed.

Our JT Rubicon only has the 7" Uconnect screen and our HVAC has been working properly. This is a stretch but... I wonder if majority of problems stem from the 8.4" Uconnect? I found the 8.4" to be glitchy. Our 7" version has been flawless so far.

C’mon, every vehicle make has issues. I’m tired of thread subjects like this from unhappy people. “Warning” buyers of potential problems is like warning people about the flu.

I’m sympathetic but there are pathways to happiness including warranty claims, lemon laws and selling the vehicle outright.
THANK YOU

FCA beware. There are a lot of snowflakes buying your truck and then complaining about non issues online.

Troy,

With respect to the owners that have this problem with their Gladiator, show some class. Sarcastic replies are not constructive. Their is an in depth thread regarding HVAC issues and apparently you have a Jeep that is without such.

Have a happy new year and may 2020 be the best yet

Maybe it’s even something that can be narrowed down by a group of vin numbers.
I owned a 2013 viper GTS that FCA openly issued the R28/R29 recall and they did their diligence addressing the problem. Regardless if the car had a contaminant or not.

So because 10 out of 10,000 JTs have a problem and it's time to hurt their sales to get them to pay attention and issue a recall?
Let's allow that it's 50 out of 10,000 - it's still not a major issue. 100 out of 10,000 - still not.
It IS to those it is bothering, to those that have the issue, but so far, the numbers are still pretty small.

The steering issue is far bigger and badder - THAT is a safety issue for some.

Have you gone through that thread and quantified things - in other words, kept score to see how many forum members the HVAC issue impact and also tracked what the exact issues are?

If it's a big deal you can prove it with numbers.
Otherwise honestly it comes across as someone who is ticked that they have this problem and can't get it resolved and trying to take it to the top of the flag pole.

grateful to gather your attention. I’m assuming you studied statistics and quite possibly are a mopar die-hard. I respect that. You’re Jeep will serve you well.

I’m honest when I say this. Happy new Year

Jeep is making great strides. It is comical that my 54 year old corvette has a operational HVAC system. Jeep is only 1 step behind.

I buy what I want when I want. I've owned AMC, Ford, Chevy, Mopar and more........

I am a professional troubleshooter who has resolved issues over many years - some issues others have failed to resolve for years, by gathering facts, numbers and more. If you can't quantify it, you can't move forward. Otherwise it's all guess-work at best.
To fix any issue takes systematic and logical work.
You won't get MOPAR's attention unless you change to a more logical stance.
