So.. checked out my door harness, nothing out of ordinary. Is it possible the magnet or actual handle just stopped? My buddy has a jl and is having same issue just his passenger door compared to my driver door. Any thoughts?
Yes and since both sides use the same parts you can start by swapping caps to see if the issue moves to the other sides confirming a defective part.

I have read through so many of these threads. I still don’t know the answer. I may be electrically challenged.

Can someone please tell me if I have Pin 15 and 16? This is the body-side connector in the kick panel.

1) look on the body side of the door connector for pins in the location in the photo.

2)yes that should be all you need
3)so far there have been no reports of success with the Tazer but I don’t think they would put it out without testing it.
4)Blind Spot Monitoring.

It looks like you have several bent pins in there too. I have found it easier to detach that connector from the body so you can get both sides of the connectors to line up better before you use the lever to close it.

Yeah, I noticed the bent pins, too. I tried to detach the plastic retaining clip from the body, but it was about to break. I didn’t wanna have to source a new one. The connector lined up and snapped back together easily and everything works, which was a little confusing given the bent pins. I decided to leave it alone for now.

First post And it happens to be a question! And yes I have read this whole 60 page post!
I have a 21 Overland eco, it came with BSM, I purchased parts to add proximity, install was not bad, Tazer worked great, all works as designed. BUT now my BSM doesn’t work, getting the “temporary unavailable” warning, so I now see there are different harnesses, and apparently I installed the incorrect harnesses. Has anybody figured out what the difference is between the BSM harnesses and the non-BSM harnesses and modified them? Can’t be much of a difference, one wouldn’t think! Probably one wire on both doors up to the mirror harnesses. Just figured I would ask before buying new correct harnesses And tearing doors apart again. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, it's going to be the wire/wires for the indicator.

I don't know why you'd try to modify it rather than just replace it with the right one, you have to tear into the door either way.

Understand, but much easier removing just outer panel rather than both and complete harnesses. 2 new harnesses are more $$$ Just need to know where that indicator wire goes too and from, I know my JT has it in the body connector, just need door harness info.

You're going to need to pin it into the connectors though? So you'll need to take the harnesses out to do that.

Check with Benny here. He is who you should have bought all parts from!
There was a different harness yo until about 2921, then they made them all the same. So if you bought the harness recently, it has the wire for everything already there. My guess is that you have a bent or misaligned pin, not a missing wire

The part that would need to be modified is only behind the outer panel, mirror connections are not behind inner panel. And being I already have the original BSM harnesses W/O Proximity I’m halfway there, just need to know which wire, thought maybe somebody knew which wire before I dig into it. Just asking!

Agree on buying from Benny, but that was before I landed on this forum. Now I’m stuck with what I have, which came from a 2023 JT Mojave from what I can figure, I would have thought it had everything also but I definitely know how the auto industry works. I do need to do better inspection of pins, will do that today. But same pin bent in both doors is a far stretch. Just thought somebody knew what pin I should start my inspection with, like I said prior, I also have the BSM only harnesses, will compare today.
