I was thinking if I could find cheap rear springs that I could swap them onto the front of my willys. Is this even possible? Is it a stupid idea?

Possible? Anything is possible, but no.
Stupid idea? Well...

Does your rear springs look anything like your front springs?

Reason behind this thought is, they are taller and they can support payload. Rubicon rear springs look to be progressive too. Wasnt sure if anyone had done something like this before. All It was, was a question, chief

Why not just find some cheap front springs that you could swap into your front? Rear springs aren’t any cheaper than front springs.

Won't work.

The springs are different diameters front to back and won't fit the spring perches properly.

If you want to upgrade, find some takeoff Rubicon Springs, they are all over the place for dirt cheap.

I am not speaking from experience but most people say that they do have a firmer ride. Shocks also have something to do with it as they are definitely stiffer than the sport shocks.
