24 Galiator Rubicon, I wondering what others have done about adding a leveling kit of 1 inch or doing 1.5 inch just to get the vehicle to sit level. Currently just running 33 in tire but will go to a 35 to fill the wheel well my hard core wheeling days are over but still plan on going on the back country but are going to go anywhere if need 3 plus inches of liftbut want it to sit level. Thoughts?

No offense..…but… Save your money for something else……. Like those 35’s you’re talking about getting. Put the 35’s on…… without any lift/level and see what it looks like.

**sorry…I’d never been a fan of ‘leveling kits’. Trucks have a rake on purpose and you might need it someday for hauling/towing heavy things.

Ugh, I can't stand the ass in the air look on trucks 😄

Mine is leveled in the front and is has no bearing on how it does work. Headlights are a little in the air with a lot of weight, but that's fine. Usually doing truck things in the daytime anyhow. It's had 800 pounds in the bed plenty.

If he's wanting to do 35s, a front level will help with that (though on a Rubi it's not nearly as necessary as on a Sport), and is a good compromise to not lifting the entire truck just to maintain the rake.

My buddy actually bought drop shackles for the back of his 2500HD to get it level as he didn't want to crank the torsion bars in the front (ruins ride quality, is hard on ball joints). I'd say that's a more extreme case since we was doing it to a 3/4 ton diesel truck, lol.

Everyone uses em differently, though :)

You will get lots of opinions on this topic. Do what suits your budget and vehicle usage. I did the aev 1.5 leveling kit with 35 inch tires and I love the look. I mainly use on limited trails for hunting and occasional off-road. I do envy the guys with 37 's and a suspension lift but knowing that one mod leads to another when you start messing with the suspension and can affect your driving experience.I think I will stay where I am. Too each there own!

I've got the sport fenders and just did the leveling kit a few weeks ago. Really like it!

1.5" Teraflex leveling kit. This kit has the option to do 0.5", 1", or 1.5". I did the full 1.5" to get best value for my money.

I measured my truck a few different ways and averaged them altogether - By my calculations before leveling my rear sat 1.9" above the front. Now after the level install the rear sits ~0.3" higher.

I love the look, the suspension rides the same, my skidplate/splash guard has better ground clearance. Only negative is perhaps a tad more wind resistance.

IMO if someone made a 2" leveling kit I would have gone with that AND the 0.75" rear kit. THAT would be the perfect combo.

FWIW, I come from a "truck" background, not a "Jeep" background. I didn't initially have any interest in leveling kits and shared a "trucks are built for rake" mindset. However, every time I saw a Gladiator with a stance I really liked, it turned out the thing had a leveling kit on it. So while I agree theoretically with the leveling-kit-haters, in practice they just work.

Do it!

I think you'll be fine with a leveling kit. Many have run them without issue for years.

When you get it installed, don't forget to re-aim your headlights.

Just did a 2.5" leveling kit on our High Altitude. I was a little worried about being too much, but with steel bumper and winch it got the stance where I wanted it. Running 33's now.

Added "after" picture but can't find a good before picture.
