Well I am guilty on the tires and rims cause well the stock tires and rims looked so out of place on my truck. So I went with some Rubi take offs but I didn't pay much for those compared to what people have been trying to sell theirs for. It wasn't a need thing as its my daily driver and got better gas mileage stock. It was "Looks so much better thing LOL" . Same with Bumper didn't need the Arcus just looks way better. Now if my JT had come with the Rubicon steel bumper as standard I probably would not have changed bumpersAs people have noted for - well, since the 1950s, non-essentials, what are considered luxuries or unnecessary nice to have things - they are always higher because typically, normally, those who go after them "can afford them".
Since I started working with cars I've seen options, accessories, that sort of stuff, always way up there in price.
Things are priced based on the typical buyer's ability to pay or what are they willing to pay.
It's figured if you have such a vehicle, you want a lift, you'll pay for it and be happy.
Let's be honest - even of the forum members, how many have lifts and huge tires and NEED them?
Or is it a "that's cool, I want that" or even "that's how they look good, gotta have it".
Most if people were honest and dropped the danged pride thing.

any the assessment was to drive up the city, county and state taxes. Some how that house sprouted a extra bedroom and bathroom.? I was told the house was a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom "it somehow grew" while I was deployed for over a year. It did good when I refinanced.
