I jumped in the Gladiator Mojave (2021 - 22k miles) yesterday and the Rear Locker light was flashing. Also noticed the indicator light on the main display.
Numerous attempts to disengage - but it won't!
Owners manual says it will automatically disengage at over 30 mph - that did not work.
Went in and out of 4X4, but no change.
Went in the dirt and spun the tires - its definitely in Rear Locked mode.
Any Ideas out there?? Thanks

Try to make a slow tight turn on pavement in 2Hi. If a tire starts to chirp. Then it's locked for sure. There is a couple of video's where guys have used a screwdriver to pop the locker out of engagement.

put it in reverse, drive backwards, it should release when you put it back in drive

I had the same problem on my 21 Mojave. However, my rear locker was not engaged. Apparently, fluid gets

This happened with my 21 Mojave back in April 23. Indicators were on but my Locker was not engaged.
I was driving from N. VA to GA. After 10 miles, the lights turned off. They did come back on for a few minutes in May and then immediately off again. I understand that fluid gets into the sensor on the axle.
There seems to be a trend here. Take it to the dealership. Especially, if your lockers are engaging. This needs to be captured by Jeep for recalls.

Same thing happened to my 2021 Mojave. I was able to fix it by unplug and replug the sensor harness that is connected to the rear differential.

He said the locker is defiantly locked as he tested in dirt, but Rusty’s comment of driving on pavement with a slow turn is a better test. If the locker is engaged it is not a sensor issue and he has to get to the dealer soon ,very soon.
I have the Z-Wave thing since 90 miles on my 21 Mojave, dealer knows it and says when ever I want to swap the sensor under warranty they will do it. Back then Jeep was swapping the whole rear axle assembly out, for a member here it was twice, that is nuts. I’m not sure I’ll ever swap it as the sensor was on back order when dealer checked….Jack

Great supprt - thanks everyone. There is no tire chirping in tight corners so I am convinced its just a bad sensor. And, many have had a sensor issue so it makes sense. Will have the dealership deal handle it. Thanks all!

This happened again, Mojave 2021, called dealership and before I take the car there, they confirmed over the phone that it is a known issue and they have to replace the whole differential. I just dropped the car today and I will update here when I get it back.
