Received mailed notice from FCA US LLC (Stellantis) and called their 'Assistance Center 1800 853-1403. They offered to contact dealership near me to set up appointment for replacement work. 2 hours later, they called back to say, 'ahhh, you'll have to call dealership yourself. Apparently my local dealership was without parts, without interest to service or something else. Was told to use MOPAR's Dealer locater to hunt for a dealer who has the replacement part(s) and would take my appointment.

I asked for list of part(s) & part #s involved in this recall replacement - he didn't know and couldn't find out for me.

This is a new recall that was only announced on June 10th. Jeep has not yet made the repair process known. The recall notice in the Jeep app lists the parts as unavailable. It will be a while before anyone gets it done.

Yes they have. Just posted the update in the main recall thread.

My understanding is when you put yourself on the recall list they will call you when parts are available at your dealership for your vehicle. Parts may be available now but not for thousands of us yet. Worked out fine for me with the clutch recall, my dealership called me.

OK - it's worth the try. I'll contact my local dealer to ask to be put on the 'will call' list for the Recall work. Stay tuned!!!

I was told by our dealer in Paris Tennessee that the parts would not be available until late fall and that another announcement will be coming out from jeep when they are available, so long story short good luck on your possible burn down.

There are dealers who are requiring an inspection to "test" if your gladiator needs a replacement hydraulic steering pump.

Is an inspection normal for recall ?

I've had a couple of recalls done in the past without an inspection.

Parts aren't available yet. It's gonna be a while before the dealer gets the stuff.

Not sure about preforming a test to determine the need I was under the impression it was based on your vin#

I’m going ahead and getting mine inspected as soon as Jeep can get it into service. 1 less thing I have to worry about IF I have an issue with a flaming Jeep. It’s been in, looked at, and I’ve got the documentation to prove it whether they say it’s good or not. When it comes to something that can take out a product worth $10k’s I want as much documentation as possible. Due diligence prevents getting dodoed on later.

I was under the impression that it would be based on the vin# as well. My guess is that it's due to low stock

My recall shows if I log into MOPAR website, but nothing on the Jeep App...plus my local dealer doesn't have the parts yet.

Parts availability only matters if your vehicle fails the initial inspection portion of the recall. If no defects are found during the inspection, then no parts are needed.

I highly recommend reading the details of the recall found in the post located HERE.

Today, the Recall notice in the Jeep app is now showing that parts are available. I'm in no rush to get it done. I've got about 20k miles in 27 months with no issues. I have no garage to park it in. I'll let the dealer get some experience with the recall process.
