Hate to say it, but that’s what it appears to be.....

what a travesty! they still look super cool.

Yea. I understand why it was a good idea to go that route. Less development time, faster to market.

Also, if you don’t know, it doesn’t look terrible. The pictures I’ve seen make it seem like the seams disappear... sounds like a poem.

The other thing I’m curious about is this line on their website:
“Rubicon require additional skid plates to protect the step sliders. ”

I wonder if that means to match the level of protection from the stock rubicon rails.

Yup, that’s how I felt about it too. It’s not “necessary” but I think would make the product look more complete if it followed the length of the cab.

I just added some DOM tubing to the factory sliders. Works as a step and added protection as they stick out to keep the body away from rocks

Can someone with the ACE Rock Sliders measure how far they stick out from the body. I am trying to see how much of a step they create for my kiddos and wife to use to get in the Gladiator. Pictures would be nice too.

ACE says they are 4” out from the body. My JKU factory side steps stick out 4.5” from the body. The ACE rock slides will work well for our needs.

i am debating on which power steps to get for my gladiator.. So far I found 2 options the AMP research steps. https://www.amp-research.com/all-products/?year_id=11350&make_name=3203&model_name=11351 and the rockslide engineering ones.. https://rockslideengineering.com/product-tag/jeep-gladiator-jt/ dont do a ton of heavy off roading where I would need the rock sliders mostly just out playing in the sands in the aroyos here in new mexico . Thoughts or other options for power steps that you know of?

RSE are available now. They just bolted an extension to their jl steps (lame).

Amp research has a much cleaner wiring solution IMO. Amps XL has a3" wide step. RSE looks tiny.

I'm waiting for the amps.

amp research also said to check back in a couple of months on 6/11, so in August i'll hit em up again and see. Amp is part of Lund International. Looks like they own several aftermarket parts companies.

Oh hell yeah! runs the whole length of the rail, unlike RSE, I was hoping it would!
Only dumb thing is it looks like the manual doesn't have a locked in the upright position, only an ability to lock them in the down position......

Ordered a set of the NFAB predator pro rails today from @runningboardwarehouse. They have a n stock. Will post pics when installed.
