Just spoke to ROAM. They’re not working on the JT steps at this point. They’re focusing on about 4 other projects first and once those are done they’ll probably start back up with the rails. His guess was at least 6 weeks away, so we’re talking 2 months before they even start trying again, so we won’t be seeing those any time before September at the very earliest is my guess.
Omg, they suck. I think this makes up my mind for me. If they keep promising different things and don't hit any deadlines, I can't trust that they will be there for me when I need any warranty work...... Waiting for LOD I suppose.

So I pulled the trigger on a set from Shrockworks. I've heard of to many JL suffering damage after wheeling with body mounted steps that I wanted to avoid any that do.
So my needs:
Up high and tight for wheeling (I didn't want a low hanging step)
Frame mounted only. They bolt directly to the frame using 1/4” thick, gusseted mounting plates that tie into both the side and bottom of the frame.
Something beefy that can take a hit
Somewhat of a step
Look good
These pics are taken from their FB page:

Awesome!! So glad to finally see a frame mounted set! Body mounted just doesn’t make sense in offf-reading, the point of off-roaring is to beat yo jeep

Copy that. I'm patient to a point, but I thought they were close to releasing the steps in December based on direct feedback from Anthony. Agree that it would be hard to trust them now. Maybe the website should have a "Coming someday...we have no idea when" placeholder for the product that would at least be honest!

Think I'll be in the same boat, although I'm not sure the LOD ones are going to be any quicker. I'm just straight frustrated overall at this point, but I keep reminding myself not to settle for something I'm not going to be 100% happy with, so I'll just wait.

While I agree LOD may not be quicker, they also haven't tainted my opinion of them, so i think i might be more happy with LOD backing their product. lots of grumblings over at JL site about ROAM.....

What have you heard in brief summary? Is it a product issue or a service issue? I just really like the way that they look.

OMG, i've read pretty much this whole 56 page thread and basically the summary is that people like their products. Their first gen rails I think had rusting issues, but now they're e-coated. Most of the gripes are lack of cummunication and product delays, delays, delays.

I get the impression that Anthony is like the only guy that works there (this is not founded or confirmed at all, take with a grain of salt) He seems like a great guy, but just has way too much on his plate.

Yeah, I've seen a few people claim the metal is thinner in the JL/JT tubs compared to the JKs and that is why more people are reporting issues. I know I've seen one manufacturer say they are moving away from body mounted sliders on the JT. Who knows if there is any truth to that. I had some frame mounted TNT Adventure Sliders on my JKU and they were "bomb proof". I was looking for the same on my JT. I'm sure more options will come out down the road.
The body mounted ones should be fine for most owners.

Installation of the Rock Hard sliders went very smoothly, good fit to all mounting positions on the Gladiator. I bought grade 12.9 Allen bolts from McMaster to replace the stock 10.9 or Rock Hard 8.8, and painted them before installation, greased threads, grade 9 washers under the heads. Opened the 7/16 washers a few thousandths for a perfect fit to the body mount bolts. M8x1.25x30 for tub mounts, M12x1.75x120 and 220 for body mounts. Putting the sliders into place was easy with a floor jack on each end.

I prefer the body mounted sliders so long as they are securely fastened like the Rock Hard that use 4 pinch weld areas x 2 fasteners in each position, 4 tub mounts, and 3 body mount areas. I like having some flex between the frame and the rails just as the body flexes on the frame, and the suspension flexes on the frame. The frame itself can take only so much stress and that is why suspensions were invented (plus owner comfort/safety). In any case, if extreme rock climbing is anticipated, I would not prefer the Gladiator anyway, with a 2-door Wrangler being best suited for such stuff.

Probably the best performing rock sliders are ones mounted (welded) to the frame. The frame CAN take the stress and it's best for the sliders to take the banging on rocks than the body or body-mounted sliders.

Why people think the body is the best place (or even acceptable) to mount sliders is beyond me.

The factory rubicon sliders are body mounted.

If you run over a big rock with a tire, body mounted sliders give more ground clearance and ability to flex when the Jeep comes down on the rock with its slider. The suspension is designed for flex, and aftermarket suspensions go for more flex.

After reading this entire thread, and lots of hand wringing, I narrowed my choices to JCR and Rock Hard. JCR shipping weight is 110 lb, and RH is 160 lb. I don't plan on extreme wheeling, and my wife would like a step but she doesn't weigh 300 lb either. I didn't see a reason why I should buy something that heavy, but the lighter stuff I found was not engineered like I want, and I don't want the pinch welds exposed with the sliders hanging down a lot. JCR has a sale but the best price is for the unpainted version. So,, I called Rock Hard and talked with Chad for a while. I ended up ordering their angled up sliders, and will struggle to install those heavy bastards, lol.
Quadratec shows the RH at 108lbs which makes me wonder if that shipping weight includes a pallet or something while JCR is just the sliders themselves.
