How difficult is it to adjust those 2.1's from performance to soft? I have been eyeing those. I would probably set them to soft since I daily in Maryland pothole roads. Just worried if they would be too soft for highway driving.
I wouldn't call it difficult.

You have to extend the shock all the way and then rotate the shock twice either way depending on which seeing you are changing to. The hardest part for me is compressing the shock again to get it mounted with the bolt on the axel.

Cheap- bilstien 5100’s in the rear fixed it for me. (If you are still running the factory fox’s)
As soon as I added a canopy and decked system is when the jousting on the highway was felt pretty significantly.
These are what I went with. Same collapses length as stock, 2” longer extended. Flexed out nothing pulls tighter than it should. ???

Will the ones in the link you sent work even if I haven't added a lift? They are listed at 1.5 -2.5 lift?

Will the ones in the link you sent work even if I haven't added a lift? They are listed at 1.5 -2.5 lift?
If you look up the specs of factory rear shocks- the collapsed length of the bilstiens and the collapsed length of the factory Fox are the same.
What is Not the same is the extended length. The bilstiens are 2” longer extended. Which as I noted when flexed out does not over stretch/max anything out. ???

Instead of starting a new thread I'll chime in on this, as I had a similar experience.

'21 Rubicon w/ stock suspension. So at a certain speed, the truck would "wallow" around, side to side. The Rubicon has always had a little, but this was excessive and sometimes I wondered if it would stop. Slowing down helps. But who has time for that. I had a similar feeling when I loaded too much heavy stuff behind the rear axle.

The setup & solution:

Old: JCR rack & Tepui Autana

New: Thule Tepui Basin "pop-up" tent. With the JCR rack, there was almost 18" rear overhang with the Basin tent. Not good.

Need: Taller bed rack to move the tent forward over the cab.

Solution #1: OVS rack; on sale on AMZN, taller than the JCR rack.

Issue: I didn't confirm the bed-to-roof-height; mistakenly thought it was 21", it's 23".

Crap.

Solution #2: Add 2" unistrut to raise the tent 2" and be able to hang over the cab with about 1/2" clearance.

Success.

Took it for a test drive and it's world's different. Even the wife was amazed at the difference.

Now to research a new suspension system for late winter/early spring as we plan on going up to 37" and price is a constraint, sadly. F'n new homes. lol.

Glad I read this. I'm on the verge of getting new shocks and I would've gone with the 0-1.5 lift shocks, but this makes sense. Looking at the specs on the stock Fox shocks and the Bils, you seem to be correct. The Bils for a 0 lift, looks like you would be losing lift.

I have a camper, and it feels like a sailboat sometimes. I'm hoping "stiffer" shocks will help with that. I'm thinking if I were to eventually put a 2" lift, these would still work.

The Bilstien’s will firm the ride up- in a good way..

If roll is your issue- the solution isn’t cheap, but look into sway-loc by ORO. Hands down…. Game changer for roll/sway.

If roll is your issue- the solution isn’t cheap, but look into sway-loc by ORO. Hands down…. Game changer for roll/sway.
Bounce and side-to-side. Squat is fine. Truck is level. I have the Hellwig rear anti-sway bar and that helps too. Just feels I’m on a boat sometimes and not as steady as I remember before the camper.

I didn't want digressive so went with Eibach - good ride and the bounce is gone. Truck stays planted.
what do you mean by “digressive”?

also the Eibachs say they’re good up to a 2” lift. If I were to add a 2” lift later, would these still work?

Digressive is the shock piston type. There are multiple types of pistons, and they affect how stiff/soft the shock (or damper if you're serious) is in controlling the spring. Linear pistons have been standard since forever.

Digressive basically is no matter how fast the shock moves - how hard you drive over terrain - the shock will not get any stiffer.
