70k and it will still get its ass kicked, power-wise, by a tuned 2.7TT they are putting in the Bronco. Jeep being Jeep, again.

That’s insane.

I read somewhere that in order for Jeep to meet fleet MPG requirements they need to sell 4 wrangler hybrids for every 392. Seems like their pricing reflects that with 47k before credits for the hybrid and 77k for the 392.

Sounds about right. I always figured they were going to price it so it always will be a niche vehicle to most. Cannot have the poors on every corner with one.

So much for getting a Hemi in the JT. That kind of money I would rather buy a track hawk.

Ouch. Assuming a similar pricing bump for the JT, way more than I can justify.

Maybe this helps to keep the resale value up for the rest of the JT JL line?

So really, a Pentastar V6 at 4-4.5 liter displacement, normally aspirated, would be holy grail. I love the old 4.0 I6 but it is old tech. The Hemi is too much for the slow stuff, IMO.

Sign me up for a 392 Wrangler! Just listed my Built Gobi JTR in the classifieds.

Why not drop a HEMI into the GOBI? Your JTR looks really good and since you haul your bike in the bed a truck seems better than having it dangle off the ass off the 392 wrangler. I was in the same boat btw but the math came out about the same and I rather have a HEMI in my built JT than start over with a 392 wrangler.

Well if this new custom shop in Toledo comes to fruition, this could be their strategy to navigate around CAFE standards. If it were a subsidiary of Jeep, and not actually "Jeep", that was selling a big motored unit, it wouldn't impact anything.

$47K for a 4xe is a lot less than I would expect.
