I have the Michelins on my 21 Max Tow and I really like them. The ride is quiet, glass smooth ride and do well in the snow we have here in Michigan.

My wife had great experience with the Michelin LTX and went through multiple winters when they were on her Civic.
Point proven. They are a passenger car highway tire. Not an all terrain.

Not sure what brand you have on your Rubicon (pretty obvious they are not originals) but I am very pleased with the Falkan Wildpeaks that came standard on mine. I have about 14k on mine now, have rotated them at 5k oil changes, and they look very good for the mileage.

I can't speak for snow and ice (they have never seen that in the FL Keys), but on wet roads and mud off roads, they do at much or more than expected. Plus, they are relatively quiet at highway speeds which is a huge plus. Yes, they are "only" 33" tires but it you don't need more and don't wish to regear, they do the job.

Plus a lot of people swap them off soon after purchase of their Jeeps when getting lift kits so there are a lot out there in the marketplace at very good prices.

OP later mentions his tires are the Wildpeak A/T3W.

What tires do you have? Assuming you have a quality tire on there, pretty much all modern offroad tire until you get to aggressive M/Ts are pretty much silent till you don’t rotate them properly and/or don’t have proper alignment or balance and they cup. I can’t even hear my tires and I couldn’t hear my last set all the way till they wore out at almost 60k miles.

If you want a really road oriented A/T that, has an aggressive looking sidewall so it wouldn’t look completely ridiculous on a rubicon, I liked my continental A/Ts I put on my Canyon AT4. The sidewalls made them not look ridiculous. The tread pattern made them handle like an all season.

Thanks very much for letting me know about the LTX's! I'll see if maybe a local tire shop has a deal on something a bit less expensive.
Like others on here, I’ve never had good luck with their wet traction. They do last forever, butthey would look absolutely ridiculous on a rubicon. You need something with a more aggressive sidewall.

I have a ‘22 rubicon ecodiesel and replaced the factory Falken mud terrains with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss all-terrains. By far my favorite tire - much quieter than mud terrains, solid performance off-road ( limited mudding, more woods and rocky trails) and they’re snow rated up to 37” which I definitely tested out the last few weeks as southern Ohio got over a foot of snow. They are a premium tire with an aggressive sidewall for A/Ts and well worth the cost if you’re going to do any off-roading. Also ran a previous generation of Baja Boss ATZ on a 2018 wrangler JLU which was a great setup, but had to trade that in for the JT ecodiesel. Sold the Falkens on craiglist for $300.

This is the only pic I can find of the sidewalls continental tires that I was taking about. If you have any German performance cars, you’re probably aware of what great tires they are

Wow, I never considered that. I mean, if I had to choose, I'd pick a quiet ride over looks any day...but if possible, I'd definitely prefer a tire that looks like it belongs on the Rubicon. Thanks very much for bringing this up...this is exactly why I wanted to post here :)

They're expensive, so I just want to confirm - These are essentially a road tire, but with A/T sidewalls? And will be much quieter than my Falken WildPeak A/T 3W's?

I have absolutely enjoyed having my Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 265/70R17 on my Sport S. I believe it also comes in a LT285/70R17 which would be appropriate for the Rubicon. This is a superior tire for wet roads and has done great on limited winter precipitation down here in Atlanta.

I have been into Wranglers/Gladiators for 17 years; have owned ten of them. Had all sorts of tires, mostly ATs: K02s, Grabber ATXs, Duratracs, Nokian ATs, etc. All did very well on-road and decently off-road. Well, other than the Duratracs, which wore fast and got loud with age.

My 2023 JTR came with Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires. I would say these are the best truck tires I have owned to date: they are quiet, ride comfortably, are competent on-road, do well in the rain, and decent on the trails and snow. I will be hard pressed to get a different tire when the time comes to replace them.

I'm definitely having a wildly different experience with mine - They're REALLY loud. They are great in the snow though.

Agreed. The factory Falken AT3W's have been amazing. Very quiet. Wore nice and even. Never had an issue. But like every other OEM tire. They dont last. I replced mine at 35K.
