It looks like an awesome top. I gotta get my hands on one. I'll do soft top in warm months and hard top in the cold.

I have this top (got the Realtruck special) also. I was already familiar with it since I purchased the Rampage version for the wife’s JLU about a year and half ago.
Overall, it may be the best “bang for the buck” top on the market. You get the sun rider style front. You can remove the back window and pillar covers and run bikini style. You can flip the rear portion forward then fold the front back and it’s pretty damned close to no top at all since it sets above the soundbar Or, a few cap bolts and about 8 minutes you can remove the whole thing.

If I didn't have the MOPAR soft top, I would purchase this. I like the options for opening it and how the back window wraps around so when removed, it exposes more. Good writeups from everyone. They should answer just about any questions about this top.

Is the RAMPAGE TRAILVIEW FASTBACK top the same top? I see there is a $150 dollar rebate going on now.

Both companies are owned by Truck Hero and It appears to be the same top based upon the pictures, but costs $1100 vs $970 for the Rugged Ridge.

You should message Real Truck to see if he is still running the forum special. He posted about in one of the other threads about this top. His special price was cheaper than the Rampage less the $150 rebate.

I believe they are the same, however one big difference is the warranty.
Rampage is 3 year while Rugged Ridge is 5 year.

Hello everyone,
Can anyone say how much time it takes to fold back under the front over the sound bar and remove the back window??
I mean is it easy to do??

just want to get comfy on a few things before i spend my cash on it.

I tried with the straps there, but didn’t seem correct.

I have 2 issues with mine… the header presses down and seals with hand pressing on top, but when latching, the front corners have huge gaps. I believe 2nd issue is created by gaps… with front flipped back all is great. With top latched shut, the top vibrates extremely badly on the sport bar.

Any thoughts, or guides on adjusting the top?

Those straps in my pic are nothing more than the built in straps that help hold the top in place. They are there when the top on fully open and I don’t move them when I close it.

Two things come to mind as far as you having gaps at the corners…
1) You may have over adjusted the clamps. They don’t need to be “omg I never thought I’d see you again hug” tight, more like “good to see you brother hug” tight.
Or
2) The front frame is slightly bent. It’s entirely possible that due to the weight of items inside and the way these boxes get treated in transport (mine was all torn up) that the frame got a little warped. Try and check it for straightness if possible. If needed, a little bit of bending on the corners could resolve your issue.

What’s really odd about the gaps, is if I lift up on the bar that is connected to both side hinges, the gaps close up… like the hinges are sagging in the center.

That leads me to think you’ve got the latches too tight.
If memory serves, they should be adjusted to where they just slip onto the catch when in the open position. Then when clamped shut they pull it tight as should be.

Also, maybe check the support bars in the flip back front, the bars that run from front to rear. One of mine was not squared up so I just loosened it a little with an Allen wrench, lined it up, then tightened back down.

Edit—I’m also curious how much time did you let the top set in the hot sun before assembling? Is it possible that the black material itself hasn’t yet stretched and could be pulling up the corners?

So, really looking at it tonight. There are 2 tabs on each side,~ 1 inch and ~4 inch, that are holding it from seating at the front…

Something looks off there for sure. I don’t recall those tabs being on mine.
Haven’t swapped the tops yet for the season, but if I have time tomorrow, I’ll dig mine out and see if those tabs are there. I really don’t remember them, and I KNOW I haven’t had anything up top that would scratch the roll bars/frame.
