This is probably normal, but there is a deep rumbling sound as I drive along. I'm sure it is normal, but I just want to check. Everything is fine with the truck and out of over 40 vehicles owned, this is my fav. It steers perfectly even hands off, but i have never heard that kind of rumbling with any other vehicle. Is it normal? Thanks.

No just the standard tires on 18 inch wheels that come with the Overland. It's a low level rumble, but I am always aware of it in the background.

Video or sound bite would greatly help.

Let me see if someone responds. The truck drives totally normally, and I'm just trying to determine if it is the nature of the beast.

You've had other replies but we're all just taking a shot in the dark

Easiest thing to do is test drive another of the same model and compare. Otherwise even with a video it's going to be nearly impossible for anyone to tell.

More info, like year, engine, trans, any modifications you have made, when it makes the noise, does in change when in 4wd, etc., would help narrow down possible causes. Check to see if your falls under the driveshaft recall range. If it goes away in 4wd, it could be the FAD bushing issue.

Internal combustion?…just kidding

It could just be a combination of everything that’s being amplified due to the Jeep having a removable top and weird acoustics. I don’t know about you, but the JT was my first Jeep and I remember hearing all kinds of weird noises when I first got it. I’m used to them now though and don’t hear anything lol

I've had a 2020 Overland for two years now - no rumbling sound I've ever been able to discern, FYI.

Do you have the all weather floor mats? Are the plugs removed from them if you do have ? My Rubicon sounded weird one day and I found the drain plug in the floor mat has been kicked loose. Worth checking out.
