Rust

I’ve had my Jeep 2 weeks and have 750 miles on it. I haven’t been in salt water or winter conditions. How concerned should I be?

You shouldn't be concerned at all. That's surface rust and is 100% normal. Any untreated metal parts will ALWAYS get surface rust

You could eat off the bottom of that rig...no worries whatsoever.

You are in Southern California. You will be giving that Gladiator to your Grand Kids before any rust becomes an issue.

Also have noticed rust after having the Gladiator for about 3 weeks. Just noticed these rust spots after doing some light off-roading for the first time. Looking to get the underbody treated soon, but just wondering, are these rust spots on the frame an indication of something serious, or will underbody coating mitigate the spread of these rust spots?
