Just an FYI - Harbor Freight has their new APEX 12,000 lb winch with synthetic rope on sale right now for $499, without a coupon. Hard to beat that price. Despite the recall on the jack stands, I still shop there. I was looking for their 20% coupon to head there for shrink wrap and a heat gun, but it might cost me a little more today. Opens in 15 minutes out here in the West...

that's going to be my next purchase ..and was waiting for some better price....thing i sthat I just checked online and I can still see it listed for $599...am I missing something here ?

I think they're going to tell you that you can use the $499 coupon or the 20% coupon. 20% gets you $479.

They've been pretty consistent at $599 here, so I'm good either way!

Often the coupon has small print that says it's not valid on winches, and other stuff...

I have around 10 coupons gather from various magazines or mailers and looked at the fine print. None say not valid on winches or Badlands products.

You are correct, sadly. It saids in small print, coupon cannot be combined with other coupon or discounts.

When I went home for lunch I looked at the very tiny print and saw that too. Bummer. Still not bad deal though but that’s kind of the usual deal.

Got mine with the 2yr warranty added in for $400. If you know the manager he will probably let you stack the coupons but if not the price is better if you use the 20% off rather than get it for $499. I know the manager at my local one pretty good and he let me use the 20% and let me use his employee discount. Put me out the door with tax at $402 with the warranty.I had to order it online because they didn't have it in stock but he ordered it through the store and it arrived last week. I have been pretty happy with it.
