I've never liked half doors. They're ugly. They're a PITA when you need to roll (unzip in this case) the window down. The "glass" gets foggy and hard to see through over time. And if it's an open air experience you seek, just take the damned doors off to begin with. To me, half doors were pointless. And apparently others agreed because Jeep started to really dial that option back.

But, good luck with your campaign.

Interesting enough you're the first person I have ever heard say they are ugly or a PITA, but here everyone has an opinion.

I would like to see Jeep find a way to make the doors and windows that don’t need the frame on the upper part of the door. They could incorporate the window weather stripping into the body and top. Roll the windows all the way down and you have a half door.

I run dooress alot, the half doors , for me anyway would be for rainy days. I've gotten rained on more times than I care to admit. Plus, I think they look better with the soft top than running full doors.
Keep in mind I have a 2 door, 4 doors will be an entirely new experience for me so maybe my feelings will change.

why not availbe on rubicon????, weird
Power windows and locks are standard on the Rubicons.

You can install the half door on a Rubi, but you'd have to disconnect the standard features of the Jeep.

But the lower models can come with non power windows and locks still. I'd bet if you're using the Jeep builder and add the power group to a base model Jeep - you'll get the notification that the half doors are now 'removed'.

Assumption only here.

I always thought that Sahara’s are all power as well. You can get the half doors on the Sahara.

Saharas and Sport S both come standard with power windows/locks, so that's definitely not the issue.

not sure what thread it was on, but anybody with JK half doors, do they have power locks or heated mirrors?

Also for anybody with a jk with half doors. When you've had the uppers on as well. Did you ever get water coming in from rain, or was the seal pretty good?

They do not come from factory with power or heated option, however there are forum threads out there with all information needed to add these options.

Mine have never leaked from the rain. Only time I get water inside is when I have poor adjustment on my soft top.
