If you were doing 60, then it is like being hit by someone doing 40 at a full stop. I'd say good thing you were on a freeway at speed, not at a stop light with him doing 100. Hope you are ok and no neck/shoulder problems. You were barely 3 months old and now, we must say goodbye to you. You will be missed.

Got rear-ended by a new KL ... driver was impaired, doing at least 100mph in the right lane w/ cruise control engage. How do I know? He kept hitting me as I tried to pull off the highway.
JTR is likely totaled as the frame is hecka bent.
Maybe not totaled - the insurance company will evaluate the cost to repair (probably $15,000) compared to the value (north of $40,000) and determine better to repair. The frames at the bed are designed to buckle so the energy of the impact is limited to the back end. On the other hand, if the whole frame is bent out of shape, no telling.
My daughter was driving my 2006 F150 when she was rear ended - bent the frame just in front of where the leaf spring attached in front of the wheel. But the cost to repair (why I mentioned $15,000 above) was higher than the value (about $12,000) of the F150 so it was totalled.
Before you sign over the registration to the insurance company you are allowed to remove your addons, but if you remove an aftermarket radio, you need put a replacement in, even if it does not work. I had a radio in my Expedition that was not working well, could not find the original F150 radio, so swapped the Expedition radio into the F150. And then 2 weeks later found the original F150 radio. If you have an aftermarket bumper you only need an OEM bumper to replace it. Does not need to be attached, just on the vehicle.
But chances are it will be repaired, it looks like it is just the bed section of the vehicle - since we cannot see the rest.
