Of course seatbelts are a must in any vehicle, but occasionally I drive without it connected when at low speed or around the farm. Connecting it behind me on a 2025 Gladiator?..............the buckle sticks into my back. I can strap or bungy it to the console or...........I bought one of these. It works perfectly! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FLXWVPQZ

Quoted from the link:
1. With ignition off, latch the seat belt
2. Turn the ignition to run
3. Unlatch and re-latch the seat belt 4 times. Leave seat belt latch on the last time
4. Turn the ignition off
This generally works on all brands of vehicles after 2000. Or it did on most Toyota's, Subaru's, and apparently the JT too.

FYI you may have to do the procedure within 10 seconds, or you do for Toyota/Subaru.

Too bad you couldn’t find a used seatbelt (from a junkyard or something) and cut off the buckle. I mean…. I think that’d work 🤷‍♀️

before I got the Tazer, I made a couple steel tongues shaped like the buckle ends. Plugging one of them in resulted in no chiming because the Jeep thought it was a seat belt.

I'm shocked that Subaru allows you to turn off the seatbelt chime. That company loves to annoy humans with all their stupid chimes.

I have the Tazer, so no need to fool it on the Jeeps, but my UTV limits you to like 10mph without the seatbelt. That's really annoying just around the property, so I grabbed this. It's meant to be used to leash your dog to the seatbelt, but for my use I used the leash part to attach it near near the belt buckle, so when I take it out to wear the seatbelt while trail riding, it doesn't get lost. $6 for two of them so I gave my buddy the other one for his SxS.

FYI, in some places if you get stopped for not wearing a seatbelt, and you're found to be using one of those devices/clips, they CAN (not will) be harder on fines/etc because of "intent". While the other method has not cause the fines/etc to be more severe.

IF you care about that stuff. 🤣

Yup……. not that I know from experience……but, in Pennsylvania… they’ll rip you a new…….<the appropriate emoji doesn’t exist😂>

For the Op’s sake…I believe he’s only doing this on his own property/farmland.

Just like the bobbed bed thing, 2018 they mandated backup cameras, and to be checked for inspection in some state too.

Reason #87,241 I moved to New Hampshire. 😁
I wear a seatbelt because I choose to, not because the government tells me to.
Live Free Or Die isn't just our state motto, it's a way of life!
