Been searching, but can't find the post. There is (at least one) member here who runs a sector shaft brace on their Mojave, and the install did not require grinding of the coil bucket. I'm trying to find out which one that is.

The Synergy specifies that grinding is required for install (or states non compatible), so I'm wondering if it was the steer smarts?

Thanks,

Want to bump this up. Anyone know how this was resolved? Got well into the install and realized we are going to have to cutout the Synergy brace to fit around the Mojave gusset. I'd really like to NOT do that if there is a better way or a better product on the market now?

Im abandoning this search fyi. Talked with the owner of my local shop while they were doing the gear set up check. He said theres no need to get it if you have the TSB steering box.

Hmm, I get pretty bad wobble from time-to-time and looking to go with the AEV 2" Mojave spacer + 37's. If I can head this off, I'd like to do that.

Just spoke with Synergy and they are working on a Mojave-specific brace now. Will update here if they reply back with a release date.

I wouldnt lift it or put bigger tires on it until you sort the wobble. If you havent gotten the tsb done, then do that too.

I can drive down the interstate at speed with one finger on the wheel, have one wheel hit something, and not fight wobble.

Good word on the mojave specific brace though! Hopefully it works with either steering box.

It’s best done with the coil removed, very easy to do

Did you ever move forward on this? From the instructions on the Steersmarts it looks like the modification is incredibly easy...

It is not.
I never could get the bolt holes to line up on mine and eventually abandoned the project.
My steering is fantastic now without a brace, because I found out that my caster and geometry was affected by the 2" lift and I properly adjusted the free play out of the steering gearbox.

The Metalcloak brace is what I would recommend for any JT, but especially the Mojave, if you're set on having one.

Were you using Synergy or Steersmarts?

Will do...I don't have any issue at this time but I do like beefing up steering a bit before moving forward with lift, tires, gearing, and ball joints
In that case I think you should give the Metalcloak a serious look.
Having fought that Steersmarts brace for a whole day, and reading the instructions on the Metalcloak, I'd be inclined to go with that.
It looks way easier to install and it costs much less.
