like the SteerSmarts, too, because it also relocates the track bar.
How can that be ? It uses the OE mounts just reinforces the existing frame mount, correct ?

There's a Steersmarts one somewhere in my pond if anyone's into SCUBA and wants a deal.
Ignore anything else you find in there.

No, thanks. If it's in your pond, it means I don't want it either.

There is an extra part of the bracket that functions as a new, lower, track bar mount in addition to the "main" goal of reinforcing the sector shaft:

Synergy also makes one that does both.

The metalcloak sector shaft brace without the track bar relocation looks like this:

And just to give a frame of reference (no pun intended) here's how it's mounted. In this pic my track bar is not hooked back up yet. You can see that bottom flange where it's supposed to mount just above the red track bar and the sway bar link is kind of running right between the 2 sides in this picture.

I have the Steer Smart brace too. It does not relocate the track bar.

Yep... I f*cked that up for sure.

Thanks for correcting me on that one. I installed it 2 years ago and obviously mis-remembered that part. You guys should have bet me money, I would have paid out on that one.

Sorry to the OP for any misinformation.

After looking back at the before/after pic I posted, I thought the track bar was more parallel to the drag link, but I must have been trying to compare something else. Again, it was 2 years ago...
