Rob is only doing 2% right now and that is with financing. A $61,000 vehicle for $53,000 is a little more than a $2,000 savings.
Rob says he can no longer do the 4% due to the market. Wonder why the market didn’t affect Daniel and Elliott?
Ok, then what is the actual savings on 2% vs 8% off invoice? $2500-3k?

Then when you get it back here you need to take another day off of work to do the paperwork with DMV plus dealing with the smog. If it wasn't driven here, it likely won't pass from not enough miles driven to set monitors.

My time and avoiding irritations is worth more than that!

I hear you, I am checking into a lot of stuff this weekend. Hopefully i get some information this work week that will help me decide whats best. I have two builds sent to the Gupton dealership and am waiting for the out the door price. Im waiting on like 5 quotes for shipping costs. I am also Emailing the Tuttle place in Irvine. Nothing on the lot fit my builds but i will see what it cost to have them order for me vs. Gupton. Thanks so far for everyones input ill keep you posted on what info i get when it comes in.

Reached out and he came back and said they are not offering anything but invoice. Don't forget tread lightly discount 1% and if you finance through Jeep you might get another 1% off. Plus whatever else you can negotiate. Good luck.
I might have missed it but what dealership did you use thats selling at invoice price? Thanks

Was looking into shipping with Reliable and some other one I've never heard of, both were just under $2k to ship from IA to AZ or FL to AZ. Wound up just flying into NC to pick it up and drove to FL, after hitting the Dragon, Then a couple weeks later met my dad halfway between FL & AZ as he was trailering my other car.

If you can swing it, I'd definitely suggest the road trip

They are the best in the business for sure. You can’t go wrong with them. A lot of people are suggesting a road trip. I love a road trip just as much as the next guy, but I don’t know if I would do it in a Gladiator. In my one week of owning my Mojave, I have quickly discovered she is not a highway cruiser. You have to put in a lot of effort to keep her going straight and maintaining speed. However, the gladiators uniqueness makes up for its deficiencies.
One thing i wanted to ask you about the Mojave. Is it really that bad at driving on the freeway and in town? I see some say it is, some say its not. I imagine i would use it to travel and do vacations to national parks and what not. My Cherokee is pretty loose in the steering and my lift on it is super stiff so bumps, dips, and potholes are almost hilarious when you hit them going fast. I feel like the Mojave would have to be a step up from my daily driver.

The Mojave would definitely be a step up from what you are driving. I find myself a driver that really tolerates a wide variety of driving characteristics among my vehicles. My other car is a 2021 Subaru STI and it is not the smoothest of riders. The issue with the Mojave is its loose steering and overall lack of power. For a factory lifted Jeep, it rides remarkably well. But what some people tolerate, others do not. I would take one for a good test drive before purchasing, and be honest with yourself when judging it.

Intercity is a great company to deal with. However, be aware that currently there are shortages in drivers affecting the shipping market.

My brother booked a car to be shipped 3 weeks ago with Intercity (he paid the seller for the car already). Unfortunately, they still do not have a pick-up date and as of this past Friday, stated it would be at least two more weeks before they can give a firm date. This is no fault of Intercity as this is happening to several major carriers.

So, if you plan on shipping, be realistic on current shipping time frames. As for my brother's car... looks like we are doing a 1700 mile trip this coming weekend with our car trailer to get it ourselves. :swear:

I am thinking of getting to the local dealers soon to compare the overland and mojave with a test drive. They are annoying but ill put up with it.

Thanks for the heads up, the price they gave me wasnt as high as i thought it would be. Still waiting to hear back from Gupton to see what prices he can do on the Mojave and Overland builds.

Quick update, I got in touch with Gupton, and can save about 7k on a Mojave build, or 5k on an Overland build. The shipping prices from Intercity and Reliable are right around $2,750.00. Broker shipping on an open truck is round $1,800.00. Renting a car and driving out with the wife and all the expenses (gas, hotels, food, time off work etc.) would come out to around $3,125 ish. Flying out with the wife last minute and all the expenses would probably be about $2,100.00 or so. So Im still leaning towards the enclosed shipping. Dont get me wrong a road trip would be sweet but finding last minute help with the pets and house, im not sure is worth saving $700.00 dollars. We are planning our trips already though, just not like seat of your pants the jeep came we have to go pick it up type trip. Thanks for all the input and advice from everyone ill let all know when this bad boy is on the way and how im getting it.

I want to ask too, did you have to drive into communicate with them or did they do email/phone? And did they off you 2% off the invoice or did you battle for the deal? Some dealers insist you drive in and thats not easy with work and some are pretty far in rush hour traffic.
I appreciate the business , thank you! Enjoy it in good health!

I am still at 2 percent below invoice with tread lightly membership on all Gladiators on special order.. I will carry that into ordering the 22's which is starting approximately 10/6. The only fees charged are tax, license, 85 doc fee, 30 electronic filing fee and a 8.75 ca tire fee and that is it.. You can finance on your own, lease, pay cash. I have competitive rates starting at around 1.89 for 60 months on above average credit or if there is a factory subsidized rate you can have it. I also do not preinstall something that you didn't order, like nitrogen in the tires, running boards , alarms, etc.. what you order is what you get.

I will always be more then happy to send you a quote.. my email is [email protected] or my cell is 954-864-5162.

This is a good post, thanks.

I'm on the east coast and have some great local options, but as was shared in another thread referencing this post, this dealer get a lot right:

*transparent pricing (which also looks good for the area for those who can't or don't want to drive)
*promise to honor pricing for MY22 (of course we don't know the MSRP change but this is still helpful and I don't know if anyone else has said this)
*extremely low fees
*no financing requirement
*published low financing rates
*no fight over dealer installed nonsense (wondering if that also applies to dealer stickers/badges)

Anyways just saying if I was time constrained and SoCal local this seems like a good option.

When I bought from Rob, literally no BS! I was out of there in a couple of hours start to finish.
