I had a local shop do a 3.5" lift on my 2023 Jeep Mojavie. Sometimes it seems like my shocks are bottoming out going over stuff like speed bumps.
The shop that installed the lift installed shock extensions so I could keep the factory Fox shocks that come with the Mojavie. The shop installed the "TeraFlex JL / JT: 2” Shock Extension Bracket Kit – Front (2–2.5” Lift)SKU 1986250".
Are these shock extensions long enough? I can't find any shock extensions for a 2023 Mojavie that are any longer. Anyone know of any shock extensions that are longer or if I need longer ones?

Yeah, simple math says you are a inch short. I have not really seen shock extensions above 3". May need to invest in shocks purpose made for your lift height.

2-2.5 inch shock extension bracket on a 3.5 inch lift... sounds like a shop i would never use again.

Besides limiting the shock's range of travel by an inch, operating out of their natural resting point leads to advanced wear, leaks and damage.

The correct way to fix this is to get shocks sized for your lift. Spacing out a short shock will almost certainly result in the shock bottoming on extension or compression - adding bumpstops to prevent this would only hurt your overall travel and articulation. You need a longer shock with a compressed length that's short enough to not bottom on compression and long enough to not be hitting the max length when fully drooped.

Our Jeep dealer had installed a Mopar lift on our JT Mojave before we purchased it new. They left the stock Mojave shocks on it and did not add shock extension brackets (because they don't come with the Mopar lift). I'm actually glad the dealer did not replace the stock Mojave shocks, because anything the dealer chose to install would have been a poorer performing shock. The loud thump you feel when driving over speed bumps is actually the shock topping out, and not the shock bottoming out. My Mojave did the same thing, and it will damage the shock if you don't do something about it. I added the Teraflex shock extension brackets, and it fixed the problem for me, but I don't have as much lift as you do. So I can see why yours is topping out even with the shock extension brackets.

You may not be able to use the stock Mojave shocks with that much lift. One thing to consider though is the Metalcloak shock location brackets. Metalcloak tries to get as much suspension travel as possible out of their Gamechanger rock crawling suspensions, so they have a lower shock relocation bracket that moves the lower mount out and up. They also have an upper shock relocation bracket that moves the top mount down. That might work for you. You would need wheels with a maximum of 4.5" backspacing, or moving the lower shock mounting location outward might cause the tires to rub the shocks. Or, maybe you could use the Metalcloak upper shock relocation bracket along with your Teraflex lower shock relocatioin brackets.

I wouldn't use stock shocks with 3.5" of lift. They are too short to take advantage of the travel you get with lift coils.

I only see 2 good solutions in your situation. Change the shocks or lower the lift height.

A valid point for sure, however, additional ground clearance is valuable in its own rite.

Compromising possible articulation gained from longer springs in favor of keeping the 8"-travel Mojave shock qualities can be desirable because you still get increased ground clearance from both the springs and (likely) larger tires. It's not zero-sum.

Certainly not trying to be argumentative here! My lift springs could give me 14" of travel, but it's likely that even when I go to longer shocks I won't get shocks that travel 14" - probably 12".
