Never been through water other than rain
Started rusting within 2 months
Just keeps getting worse
X-Bull’s customer service has been non existent
2 months is crazy. I figured a lot longer than that.
I don't do chrome plating, only zinc or nickel (or tin/zinc). Not sure how nickel would hold up outside, obviously better than that!

I've done the Hi Lift winch technique in the past on my old F150 that didn't have a winch. Worked well, but I really needed to think it through since the jack was at horizontal instead of vertical. I think a "come-along" would make a good ATV winch in a pinch, but at least mine is only good for 1000lbs or so.
I have a come-along for the rear. Never had to use it on me, but used it on others. Take a looooong time though.

Well I have to agree with @Trauma PA on this one. I have had mine for a year in Michigan and I’m dealing with bad finish quality too. I also have recieved zero response from XBull. I bought direct so went direct for service but got nothing.

X-Bull’s customer service is non existent. They just don’t care. It’s pretty sad. They don’t ever have a phone number to call. All my correspondence has been through emails and now they just don’t respond anymore. I left a real world review on Amazon so hopefully prospective buyers read my review and look at the pictures before they decide to buy.

That's crazy. I've restored 40 and 50 year old bolt and screws that looked better.

I have a 2003 F250 with a Ramsey 9500 Patriot winch. Very expensive but 19 years old and still works like new. I have stuck my 250 several times over the years and it's worth every penny when you need it. Just put a Warn VR 10 on my JT and I am happy with it but I have not used it yet. Good looking set up on your Gladiator.

Not sure if it’s been said before but I love my winch. Even though I’ve never used it. I like how it makes me feel when I’m driving around the mall. I also like how confident it makes me feel when I’m luggin my off road trailer deep off road on unknown trails. It’s a warn 10s synthetic and I got it open box new on Craigslist for cheap.
