Am I seeing correctly those White Knuckle sliders go under the stock rubicon rails? Did you literally have to do nothing to the stock rails? I've been looking for that type of solution and also don't want to lose my weather tech mudflaps that are flush up against the stock rails.
They have 2 options. With the Rubi rails, or without the Rubi rails. I have the Rubi rails and the WeatherTech mudflaps. Didn't have to do anything with the mudflaps. Everything just bolted on.

I also have White Knuckle Offroad with full top-plates and Line-Xd. Had another set on a previous Toyota 4Runner TRD pro as well.

As stated… frame mounted & they can be had with or without Rubicon Rails. With Rubicon rails offer fantastic foot kick protection. Without do not hide the pinch seam and additional clearance is minimal. WKOR offers two thickness of steel, I have the lesser of the two. They work perfectly with RokBlokz mud guards.
No modifications necessary (in general).

Awesome, thanks for the info on the white knuckles and glad they don't interfere with mudflaps. A little sticker shock when I went to the site but sounds like they are worth it.

They are not cheap but I highly recommend the Rock Slide Engineering power steps. They are sturdy and if you are going to make a habit of bouncing them off rocks, they have add on armor.
I’ll second that. Originally we purchased a set of Amp Research Power Steps. Great steps, nice and wide for easy in and out, but not for rocks. Hadn’t started out rock climbing but when we started it didn’t take long to trash the Amp Research steps. Bent the drivers side step so it wouldn’t come down and literally tore off the passenger side.

Invested in Rock Slide Engineering with extra armor plate and have been very pleased with results on the rocks … and they’ve been tested. I did have a motor with stripped gears that was replaced.

Not cheap but if you’re going to play on obstacles where you need sliders and want a drop down step, they seem to be the only real game on the market … at least that I’m aware of.

This comes up a lot. I didn’t want to spend rock slide engineering money either. But I have zero regrets. I have repeatedly smashed them on rocks on 9 and 10 rated trails. Each time, they work perfectly after. I’ve hit them with touch up paint a bunch, but functionally I can’t seem to hurt them, no matter how hard I try. Mine is the same use case, kids and wife that want to be able to get in easily, and the need for real sliders.
Do you have the “additional” sliders or just the step slider?

Hey there, I’m looking to get some rocker sliders that can be also be used as steps for the kiddo and tiny people. I also don’t want to buy something that if gets bounced off a rock isn’t going to fold into the sheet metal. Any thoughts on rock sliders that won’t break the bank and are pretty junk?? Thanky

If you want something for the tiny people you have to have a step that comes down. As many have said---the Rock Slide Engineering Gen 3 is the way too go.

I installed them myself. They warn you that some of the bolts may be difficult to take out. On my Mojave the middle bolts were a pain in the ass--but I was warned :)

The wiring is plug and play. I've done the trails and banged the shit out of them many times and they still work perfectly---without paying for the extra armor.

They have a switch that you can turn off so the steps won't go down when your out on the trails.

Highest recommendation if you truly want to help the young, the short, and the very old get in the truck.

Just the step slider, but with the optional option extra armor. I do very difficult trails and have repeatedly bashed these on rocks. They still function perfectly.

Well...I'm gonna have to echo the accolades of the Rock Slide Engineering Sliders/Steps. As a matter of fact, we liked mine so much on my Gladiator, we had them custom fabled onto my wife's X BOX! You think you don't want to spend the money for your Gladiator? Whew! But...and it's a big one, she now loves her X BOX again after I had it lifted.

Forgot to add earlier...the G-Babies LOVE them! And us old folks with bad hips can actually get in and out without killing ourselves!
