When I pull out of garage which is on a slight decline, I apply the brakes to close door and hear a slight clunk from the front. If I pull up close to a curb or concrete parking stop and bump it I get the clunk. Sometimes if I turn the wheel I can produce the sound when moving. When I come to a stop sign I don’t here it? If I jam on the brakes I don’t here it?
I have had a Full Metal Cloak lift done months ago but had no issue. The most recent mod was Ace Rock Sliders all torqued to 92 lbs. Any advice on where to start troubleshooting this sound???

Is your shock bottoming out? What trim and motor are you running?

I would start by snugging all the fasteners up. Also, have someone in the Jeep recreate the noise while you are outside of it. Look for any rusty areas around bolts. That usually means they are moving around.

I’ll try that. No rust live in Arizona no hard off reading yet. 5,000 miles on the truck

I was going to say grease your joints but at 5k miles on the truck... prob not. In the dusty desert though, wouldnt hurt to grease things esp the links of any sway disconnects. I was getting some noise, went away when I greased things, pretty sure it was my JKS ends.

Other theory is your coils end up clanking off each other in the narrowest gap between coils, usually at the bottom. Weight shifting forwards on the downhill changes the spring loading just enough to cause it.

Is it a clunk or a sharp creak? The MC springs are dual rate and have a fully compressed section so it's normal to have some spring noise. Mine made a bit of noise at first but now they only make noise over good bumps.

If it's a clunk I'd re-torque everything to the Mopar 2" lift specs, not stock. Stock has lower numbers in a few places that probably aren't sufficient. Though I wil say you'll need a long torque wrench and some ugga because some are like 200ft-lb.

Know where I can download those specs?

Had the same thing since I bought my Jeep new in late 2019. Techs could never recreate it and never found anything wrong with where I thought the noise was coming from. Same noise, same circumstances, same sound level, across 56k miles so far.

Check your sway bar end links, the game changer lift on my jk was notorious for them loosening up

I had the same noise OP. I haven’t heard it recently but it only started like a couple of weeks ago. Even very slight braking makes the noise for me. At first, I thought it was something rolling around in my bed or back floor area.

I’m not sure it matters but I also have some metal cloak parts installed. Just the front track bar and front LCAs though. I’ll poke around when I put the MC rear track bar on this weekend.

It’s such a light clunk/knock noise for mine and I could only hear it with the radio off but it was driving me nuts

Sway bar links. Should both driver and passenger side be straight up and down? My passenger side has a bit of an angle to it?
