I'm going with the RR snorkel as I don't want to cut the hood for the mopar, AEV, or ARB snorkels, or block the windshield from folding down with the Hawk designs. I'll run it both ways to start, see which looks better at the mall.

I cut a hole in the fender of my old TJ to install the ARB snorkel... that cured me of ever making permanent cuts.
LOL - Yeah I am not looking to cut the hood as well.

I am gonna get this snorkel and I doubt it would cause such a blind spot but I put the blind spot assist to good use now anyways so it is not gonna bother me tbh.

Not yet, Quadratec has them shipping 14 Feb. Once I get it, I'll post a pic of the cowl installed before I start painting it. In the pic, the area of concern is the fitment around the A-pillar at the windshield, but that was from pre-production models (based on my you tube research), so I would think it's all been sorted out by now, as the release date was originally mid-January.

Yeah I've heard of fitment issues as well as excessive plastic waste still intact requiring a decent amount of prep to get installed. Dropping $500+ on it, I fully expect the thing to be ready to go with today's injection molding tech.

you going to paint just the lower portion, or the whole piece that sticks up too?

I'll start with just the lower portion to see how it goes. I have 2 cans of Gator spray paint. I just have to remember not to rush it, as I always do when painting and end up with runs.

I am planning to get the Mopar one for its old school looks and the fact it keeps the windshield foldable. Anyone done it yet?

I have the Genesis Dual Battery Kit and I was concerned about this as well. I would like to see more pics of this install.
Reach out to the guy in that thread I posted.

Looks great @Dorbritz! Did you paint to match yourself? If so, how difficult was it? I had actually wondered if it might be easier to paint the opposite cowl cover black. I am more concerned about symmetry than the actual color :).

Any concerns about water getting in with the low profile mode when in heavy rain? Their site says there is a drain, but this is not clearly visible in the install instructions.

Thanks. Yes, I painted it myself. I’ve had previous experience with painting 2 stage paint on plastic.
Not really concerned with rain on the low intake. There is a petcock valve that you will install in the bottom of the factory air box so you can drain if water does get in.

Hi, I'm a new owner of 2015 JK and fairly new to off road. I also plan to do a bit of knee deep water crossings and after searching for tips I've read from a website Dielectric Grease Review | What Is Electrical Grease? | MOTORING CRUNCH to apply dielectric grease to electrical components to protect from corrosion. What are the parts I need to apply dielectric grease before going to river crossings?
