For you guys pulling teardrops and adventure trailers using light truck tires on them, Ever get any blowouts? I'm building a trailer myself but my dad blew a street tire on a Chevy LUV trailer he built and my XJ blew a mud tire when it was getting dollied (rear shaft removed) so now I'm a little gun shy. I want to do the whole matching wheel and tire thing but dunno....

About 10000 miles without any problems so far.

Unfortunately it is not possible for me to put the matching Gladiator size on my trailer, that would be my preferred option.

My recommendation: Go fot it!

Towing my Ranger to Big Sky Race Week 5hrs each way (2k lb trailer, 3200 lb truck) and our camper to the mountains for a lakeside getaway. A trailer brake is a must and towing at 65mph makes everything a lot more comfortable. My future plan is to swap the gears from 3.73 to 4.56 (or 4.88, not sure yet).

Out with the old Cruiser Hitch 16RD and in with a new (used) Jayco Jayfeather X213. I never really got to like the layout of the Hitch so when opportunity came to trade for something I liked much better, I jumped on it. Despite being around 1k pounds heavier, the Jayco tows better while also having more room and better features for my needs. I'm very happy to report the JTRD had no issues towing it out and back from Texas to Colorado.

21’ Nobo. Added air lift system and a WDH. Trying to get used to the high rpm’s. Had a super duty before this one.

I just returned from 3 week 3100 mile trip from Orange County, CA to Mammoth lakes, CA, -Twin Falls ID - Yellowstone ID,- Payson Lake, UT, -Bryce canyon, UT - Las Vegas NV, towing our 14' #2200 dry Aljo camper. No issues whatsoever. 2020 Sport S, 33" tires, Mopar lift.
We encountered many grades at 8%, most were managed at 4k rpm in 4th gear and trans temp only went up to 216 max. Grades with switchbacks required changing down to 2nd gear 3x on the trip. I have WDH , trailer brake and sway control installed.
I previously used my wife's 2008 Jeep liberty for towing and I really appreciated the 8 speed transmission on this trip.
Most camping was primitive and dirt roads, no issues. ( wish it was dual axle backing up on uneven roads into secluded spots but not sure its worth another 800#+) We brought 9' inflatable with outboard, trip on Snake River was amazing!
Anybody recommend something in the 17-18' range dual axle, hopefully @ 3000#?
