Would like to see Overland owners show their tow loads. Everything I see here is pretty much all Rubicon and max tow Sport S.
No one towing with Overland - say, about 4800-5,000 pound trailer?

I'm towing about 4600# loaded ( 4000# dry) travel trailer. 35" tires, 488 gears, Auto. I am maxed out on power in the hills of WV. Suspension is fine with Weight Distributive, anti Sway Hitch. Just lacking on the power.

what's your avg towing mpg with the 4.88's? ive been considering swapping my 4.10's to 4.88 for a little better mpg when towing (sorry if I've already asked you, can't remember who I've asked and who i haven't). My trailer is about the same size, averaging 8 to 9 mpg with around 10 being best case. got a re-gear quote from a shop here in Dallas for $1699, includes parts and labor. which I think is a fairly good price, just not sure i'd see enough improvement to offset the cost.

Last 280 mile trip was 11 MPG. Got 10.8 going, and 11.3 coming back. 60 MPH on cruise. 90% Interstate.

You have that trailer sitting nice and level. Looks good. That's about the weight I'll be towing if I ever get a chance to haul a car anywhere. Shows all cancelled.

Boat project deja vu. Long story short, I found this 73 Gulfstream 20 years ago. Fixed her all up, new interior, impeller, etc. We had many years of great memories in this old boat. We upgraded, and gave her to a family member with hopes they would do the same. Instead, she sat uncovered for 5 years. My oldest nephew has confiscated her and we are doing it all over again. Cleaned out and new wood floor in. New seats and carpet arriving soon.

Mercruiser straight six. She always sounded like an old Jeep to me!
The JTR can't even feel this boat compared to our current 20 footer.

Love those I6's - reminds of of a Chevy 250 in a way. I bet it sounds like a 258 or 4.0 when idling.
That engine has to be about 500-550 pounds by itself. I could enjoy a boat like that.

I towed my 1995 E320 to it's new owner 4 hours from home today. It was only my second day to own my gladiator but it handled the trip like a champ.

I decided to hold off on buying the Jeep until the Benz sold so I figured it was a fitting first journey.

The uhaul trailer had a blowout 30 minutes from home but roadside assistance was quick to respond. The rest of the journey was trouble free and we averaged 13.5 mpg. I calculated the weight of the load to be just over 6k lbs with 4 rims in the boot of the Benz. The truck was loaded with wife and 3 kids plus luggage for an overnight trip.

I used to have a 2007 MB B52 V23... great surf boat ... initially towed w a Tacoma, then got a tundra. Couldn’t even tell it was back there w the tundra!

Just landed in Colorado from Asheville, NC. About 1,400 miles. Jeep was loaded with my two small kids, dog, generator and tools. Trailer dry is 5,300# with added accessories and had about another 600-700# loaded. Max tow with Curt Spectrum. Just turned 6k miles on the Jeep. Took it slow and steady. Stability is definitely not like a full size, but the motor and tranny are awesome. Traded my super duty to get back into a Jeep, no regrets. If I towed more often, I would definitely downsize the trailer. We will be camping in the same spot for a few months, so the extra space is worth it though.

Nope, drove it home on Thursday, put about 250 miles on it that night and towed that load on Friday. Took it easy on the tow but sometimes you just gotta get stuff done.

Moved from Arizona to Texas, with my F800GS in the back and a U-Haul trailer behind. Overall it was about 5500 pounds, (empty trailer is 2000, and the difference between empty/full was 3500). I only got about 8 mpg but it was pretty steady.
