I have a 2021 Gladiator with the premium 8.4 inch display sound system. I am having an issue with the sound bar vibrating and distorting the sound, at first I thought I had blown out a speaker. When ever I have the volume over 25 it starts to happen I can grab ahold of the sound bar between the light and the speaker and it stops. I have taken it to the dealership twice to have them look at it. They are telling me basically that it’s a jeep thing they went out into the lot and looked at three other jeeps they said they all do the same thing so it’s nothing they can fix. They did try to tighten it down an added some foam insulation in the bar. neither of these things helped. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do to fix this. The dealerships answer was to buy an aftermarket system I told them that I shouldn’t have to on a vehicle that has 1000 miles on it and cost over $55,000.00.

Go to a different dealer. Sounds like you could have a short in your wire harness, or just a bad connection to the speaker(s). The rattling is most likely a faulty install too. Should be an easy fix for a dealer who doesn't write it off as "a Jeep thing".

Try some dynamat on the inside right were it is vibrating.
Don't be afraid to dig into it and really find out were the rattle is coming from at higher volume. Also, make sure your speaker mounting screws are tight. You can solve this.
If you truly don't want to dig into it, take it t a vehicle audio shop and let them take a look at it.

Good luck, Tim

The speakers are of very poor quality in terms of sound. I have to turn the bass and mids down to get rid of the flabbiness and even then the radio in my Kia Soul sounded way better.

Same exact issue with mine. Taking the grill off and tightening the screws on the speakers helped but didn't totally eliminate it. I'm looking to upgrade the speakers now. Super annoying.......

Some people have put a piece of foam weatherstripping between the plastic sound bar and the roll bar. Check out this video:

It could even just be the speakers themselves. If it is truly something buzzing or rattling you should be able to solve it with dynamat as mentioned earlier, or some foam inserts.
