Spare cover?

Does anyone make one? Being under the truck, I can only imagine all 5#IT that gets kicked up onto the underside of the wheel. Figured I can't be the only one thinking of how to protect the spare wheel - especially for those running a 5th aftermarket rim.

I wonder how sealed it would be from the top? Curious if water and dirt could come in from the top and then have no way out if a cover is over it?

There is a "skid plate" for the spare somewhere in all this madness.

But the top side would still get crap kicked up on it no matter what you do.

I had the same quandary.. I ended up spraying Fluid film all over the wheel before putting it up under the bed.

I suppose you would have to wrap it with the bottom exposed? Otherwise it would fill with water and dirt??

to each their own- I cover our Jk tire due to sun exposure and MT compound tires dry rot quick under the Death Valley sun….. the gladiator- ??‍for Now I don’t worry about it…. Once beadlocks and tires are on we will 5 tire rotate and wash every 3k miles.

Better yet do what I did...Just buy a steelie for the spare. I have the same tire but a black steel wheel (85.00) for a spare.

Buy 2, encase it with a hole for the spare cable

Spray the rim with some type of protector. The use shrink wrap from Home Depot to keep the crap off of it.
